Within seconds, the feeling of falling told me I had been successful. But hopefully it would be Steve's subconscious that I would land in.

The same barren landscape grew around me, and there stood Steve, only meters away. His plain white shirt and black pajama pants were very different from his normal suit.

"Steve." I called to him, causing his head to whip around to me. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights. "We don't have much time but I need to-"

Before I could finish speaking, a rock came hurtling towards my head. Ducking out of the way just in time, I saw Steve sprinting towards me.

"How dare you betray us. How dare you betray me!" He yelled. I ducked under his punch and kicked him in the stomach, sending him stumbling away, but I wasn't strong enough.

"I didn't betray you." I argued as he came sprinting at me again. This time I was too slow and he barged into me, throwing me off my feet and meters away from him. I quickly jumped to my feet, but pain throbbed through my back.

"Stop fighting me and listen. I know Hel's plan. I can help save Asgard. But you have to tell Thor that she plans to assassinate Odin." I yelled. He listened for a second.

"I don't believe you!" He yelled. "Why should I listen to anything you say? Why are you even here?" He charged at me at the final question, tackling me to the ground. I was pinned beneath his weight.

"Please Steve, you have to trust me." I said, struggling to breath as his arm sat strongly on my throat. "Hel's going to assassinate Odin and once she has Asgard, she's going to unleash chaos on the universe."

"Why? What proof do you have? I could kill you right now, I mean, this is all just a dream, isn't it?" He growled. I realized he was right.

I sobbed. "It isn't a trick. I'm sorry Steve, for everything I've done and everything I am going to do. Please forgive me." I whispered through a sob before a small blade of ice grew in my hand. I looked into his blue eyes, they remained unforgiving and grew harder by the second. With all my strength, I stabbed the blade into his side.

He rolled off me, gasping in pain. I jumped away from him and concentrated on disappearing back into my own mind. Seconds later, I woke up gasping for air like I had been drowning for the past several minutes. I felt weak. Traveling into someone else mind took much more energy than I had been lead to believe.

The banging outside the door echoed into the room. Loki was still frozen in his place, but now he was awake. His eyes looked more normal than before, returning to a less harsh electric green.

"Skadi, what's happening?" He muttered, sounding weak. Jumping to my feet, I rushed over to him.

"I'll explain later. But do you know where the closest portal is because we need to get out of here." I asked as I began to unfreeze the top half of his body. He slouched over and took a deep breath. "Come on Loki think."

All of sudden the door began to shudder. Unfreezing the rest of Loki, I pulled him away from the door and laid him down on the couch.

"How the hell are we going to get out of here?" I muttered to myself.

"Skadi, you go. Leave me here." Whispered Loki.

"I'm sorry, but that's not an option. If I leave you here, Hel will kill you. I know you're not exactly the most popular person in the universe right now, but anywhere has got to be better than here. I'm not leaving you." I paused for a moment, that sounded way more dramatic than I thought it would. "Plus, I need someone who can help me find a portal instead of accidentally sucking me through one." I quickly added.

Loki gave me a small smile, and I smiled back.

"Now are there any portals close by right now?"

Loki nodded. "We just need to get out of here first."

I nodded in agreement as the banging on the door still echoed throughout the room. I looked around for any other doors but there was nothing. My eyes wandered to the ceiling.

The moonlight shone through a skylight way up above us.

"Light bulb." I said. Loki gave me a confused look, but seemed to accept that fact that he didn't understand. I helped Loki up from the couch and moved us so were standing against the wall, under the window.

"Hold on." I warned, before I concentrated on the ice growing beneath us. With in seconds we were half way to the top. But all at once, the door burst open below and in rushed a group of my mother's skeleton henchmen followed by the evil ruler herself.

The skeletons began climbing the growing ice. Scaling it faster then I ever thought possible.

My mind was racing. I couldn't make the ice go faster with the both of us on it, but the skeletons, would reach us before we could reach the top.

"Loki, promise me you'll get help. Get to Thor and warn him about the Hel's plan." I ordered.

"What, why? Where will you-" Realization began to ring clear in his eyes. "No Skadi, I'll take it. Nobody needs me."

"Too late." I whispered before stepping off the platform and sliding down the side of the pillar, knocking off several skeletons on the way.

With a final burst of energy, Loki broke through the window and disappeared into the night. Several of the skeletons disappeared after him, but most returned to the ground and surrounded me.

"Skadi, I thought you were smarter than that." Cooed my mother. "Taking the place of a criminal, and you think you're so brave."

"You would have killed him if I had gone." I said forcefully, making sure to stand my ground. She studied me for a moment, knowing I was right.

"Once I had used him for his purpose, yes. But no matter, we've got you instead." She sneered. "Take her to the cells." She yelled at the guards before spinning on her heel and dramatically exiting.

The rough boney hands of her henchmen grabbed me and pushed me down the hall. There were twenty or so and I knew I wouldn't be able to defeat them all without getting seriously injured myself.
