"Thor, what is most likely on the other side of that portal?" I asked.
"Either a cave or some sort of deep cavity in the ground. Why?" He replied, but I ignored the question.
"Hey Stark, do you think I could get a lift?"
"Care to explain?" He asked.
"Just hurry, we don't have time to waste." I argued. I heard him sigh and mumble an agreement. Feeling slightly victorious, I watched him fly down and scoop me up.
"Where to?"
"I need to be quite high above the portal." I said, he seemed to think nothing of it for a second, but then he stopped.
"Oh no, you're not going through the portal." He argued, stopping mid flight.
"What?" I heard a few people chorus through the earpiece.
"We don't have time for this. If I get through the portal, I can collapse it from the other side." I yelled.
"What makes you think we're going to agree to that?" Asked Tony.
"Because I'm not on the team, so no one's going to care. And its not like you've got a better plan!" I snapped back.
It fell silent over the earpiece. I was about to say something else, but was enterupted by another estranged roar as another beast came flying through the portal.
Tony tried to fly out of the way but there wasn't enough time. Colliding with the beast, I was knocked out of his grip. I rolled down the back of the alien whale and flicked off its tail, positioning me right over the portal.
I pointed my sword forward and made myself as aerodynamic as possible. I think I heard several gasps on the earpiece, but as soon as I crossed the border between worlds, it was cut off.
