"Hel? As in Goddess of the underworld? She's your mother?" Asked Tony as he stared at me in disbelief.

"That's impossible." Said Steve. I gave him a questioning look but he looked towards Natasha. "Do you remember what Thor said?"

"Wait, what did Thor say?" I butted in. Natasha and Steve shared a look before turning to me.

"Skadi, before you lost your memory you said that you were trying to get to Asgard to find you parents." Started Natasha carefully. "But when you were there, Thor told us that they had been killed years ago."

"Impossible, I just saw my mother." I snapped, sounding harsher than I really wanted to. "Thor was clearly lying." I said much more softly.

"Wait, you just saw her?" asked Barton. "And you didn't stop her?"

"It's not that simple." I started to explain but Stark interrupted me.

"I'm sorry but how is it not that simple?" He asked, clearly getting agitated.

"You don't understand-"

"Well feel free to explain it because were all listening." Growled Stark. Everyone sent him a look, questioning his sudden outburst and attitude towards me, but he just shrugged and turned away. They focused their attention back on me, waiting for me to explain. Taking a deep breath I began explaining my story.

"Okay, my mother is Hel, goddess of the underworld, and my father is Hod, god of all things dark and cold, hence the ice powers. You already know the whole backstory, being trapped on earth and all that. But believe it or not, we were actually a pretty good family, even though we had a few quirks-"

"Get to the point." Butted in Fury. I rolled my eyes but did as I was told.

"Anyway, sometimes when I was younger, I would get nightmares and so my mother learnt a trick so that she could travel into my dreams and protect me. At first she had to be right next to me to be able to do it, but soon she realized that she could do it from practically anywhere in the universe. Sometimes if she was away, she would talk to me in my dreams." I paused for a moment and smiled at the memory. "Anyway, that's how I saw her. That's how I got this." I pointed to my shoulder at the puncture wounds. "And that's how I know she has Loki under her control, he was in my dream as well."

"She hurt you in your dream?" Asked Barton.

"Yes, and I don't know how, but I found strands of her hair on me when I woke up. To be honest it was more of a nightmare than a dream, she changed somehow, but it was still her." I admitted quietly.

"Do you know where she was, in this dream?" Asked Coulson. I shook my head. "Do you know how we could find her?" I shook my head once more.

"If she want's me to find her, she'll let me know. But until then, I don't know where she is."

"Do you think you could learn the same trick and communicate with her using it?" asked Coulson.

That thought hadn't even passed through my mind, but it lingered for a moment as I pondered the question.

"I remember reading it in her library somewhere, but I can't remember all the details I'm sorry."

"Do you think it would take long to find the book and learn the skill?" He asked. I shook my head.

"No, I could learn it pretty quickly. I justneed the book."
