Chapter 1 scene 4 STUDY GROUP

Jackie: (Walks fast into the room, carrying stack of books) Am I late?

Rachel: (Sitting on the left side of the table and Sandy, with a big smile on her face) Not at all. Have a seat.

I'm Rachel. Nice to meet you.

Jackie: Jackie.

Zack: Ya we know.

Sandy: (Smiles and shakes Jackie's hand) Sandy.

Jackie: Hi

Sandy: So, is psych your major too?

Jackie: Uh hopefully it will be my second major. I'm registered as English Li for now.

Rachel: (turns to Jackie, and hands her the paper) Did you sign up for research participation yet?

It's a requirement: gradate student ass-kissing.

Jackie: (takes the paper from Rachel's hand while reading it in her head) I haven't. Thank you.

Research? Like drug testing?

Sandy: Oh I heard it is pretty stupid, really. Like how fast can you name a color or whatever. (Looks at the group sitting around the table) We should all do it together as a group and get t out of the way.

Phil: (looks at Jackie) This must be quite a change for you.

Jackie: (turns to Phil) Sorry?

Phil: From working on that show for so long. I mean did you even get a chance to go to school at all?

(Everyone is looking at Phil hoping he would stop with the questions)

Sandy: (Turns to Phil) Phil...

Jackie: (trying to change the subject) Did Newberry say if the mid-term was gonna be multiple choice?

Sandy: Yeah, 'cause he totally cant read. Unlike Stark... (While making a confused face) I heard she makes you spell everything out.

Jackie: (Being confused) Who is Stark?

Sandy: She teaches 209, Abnormal Psych. It's actually a really good class.

Jackie: I think I saw her once.

Zack: She sleeps with her students. (Making a exciting face)And when the school fins out, the mysteriously disappear. I heard they found a body once in her trunk.

Rachel: Zack! They don't vanish. They probably just leave the school.

Jackie: (being all too curious, asks Zack:) Has she ever tried to do that with you?

Sandy: I don't think boys are exactly her bag.

Zack: I head she does both.

Phil: I heard she was a vampire.

Sandy: I heard that she is in the witness protection program, because her dad was in the mob.

Rachel: (Talking to the whole group) Guys can we go back to the textbook?

Phil: (Just so annoying, asks Jackie) Is it true that Tyler was supposed to be gay, and she was going to come out on the series finale? I mean, that's why Tyler had a boys name and everything.

Zack: (towards Phil) Cool it homophobia, Ok? Who cares.

Phil: What homophobia? It is a valid question. I'm a fan, I want to know.

Jackie: (she gets annoyed and turns to Phil) I have no idea. I wasn't on the writing staff. But you should ask them if it is so important to you.

Rachel: According to my sister, what Prof. Newberry says in class is actually more important than what we read in the textbook...
