Yoongi's birthday had passed by in a blur. The members had posted his sleeping pictures on Twitter as a birthday gift—and let's just say he wasn't very glad about that, but he didn't complain.
March was nearing its end, and the preparations for the comeback only intensified. When the group had arrived back in Korea from Taiwan on Yoongi's birthday, the creative team was bubbling to pitch their idea to the members. It turned out that they wanted to produce a variety show called 'RUN BTS' since none of the Korean variety shows were really looking to host the group on their shows.
The members really loved the idea. But Bang PD postponed the filming to July as they didn't have enough funds yet.
Meanwhile, three days ago, Namjoon's solo mixtape was released. The members had supported him on the set of 'Do You' while shooting.
At present, the members were in a meeting with their staff, discussing the concept of the 'I Need U' music video.
Bang PD suggested, "I was thinking we could focus more on the storyline through cinematic shots than the choreography. That would also raise curiosity in the fans regarding what the choreo could be."
The creative director nodded. "I agree. Since we're showcasing a heavy fictional universe, we need to focus more on showing that rather than the choreo. And you're going to perform at music shows anyway."
"Aww man, I was excited to dance in the MV," Hoseok groaned.
Seokjin patted his shoulder and laughed. "Hope-ah, you're gonna shine on stage though, I know you will. On the other hand, I'm so glad I don't have to worry about looking good at dancing in the MV."
"Oh, also," the CD chirped. "Brush up on your acting skills in the meantime. You're going to need that."
Half the boys groaned. "Ugh, I'm so bad at lip syncing itself. Imagine me tryna act on top of that," Namjoon sighed.
"I think it'll be fun," Arin squeaked. "I'm excited!"
Yoongi shook his head. "Yeah, that's cuz you know how to act. None of us—except maybe Jin hyung—can act."
"Nah, I'm not good at acting either," Seokjin refuted. "Rin is amazing though!"
Arin grumbled. "Don't downplay yourself, oppa."
"If you lot are done arguing, can we discuss the rest of the details?" Bang PD cleared his throat.
"Sorry," Arin mumbled. "We got carried away."
The CEO hummed. "It's alright. Anyways, you all will need to dye your hair for the comeback."
"Again?" Jungkook sighed.
Bang PD hesitated as he looked at the maknae's wide doe eyes. "Erm... you can continue with your natural hair color, I suppose."
Yoongi threw his hands in the air. "What?! That's not fair. Why do I always need to get my hair dyed?" He mumbled under his breath, "This is favouritism."
"My decision is final. Your stylists will decide the appropriate hair color and let you know soon," their boss deadpanned. "You may all resume your practice now."
The members groaned but trudged out of the room. As Arin was nearing the door, Bang PD called out, "Arin-ah, would you stay back for a minute? We need to discuss something with you."
Jungkook looked at the girl with hesitation. She gave him a reassuring nod. He dithered, but seeing Bang PD's stern expression, he jogged away.
Arin sighed but sat back in her chair. She looked at her boss and the staff with curious eyes.
