Chapter 11

"So boy tell me about yourself" my moms boyfriend says as we all our sitting in the living room eating pizza and watching movies.

"Well erm.." I notice Luke start to say but he shouldn't have to explain himself to someone who isn't my dad so I cut in

"He's 18 and in college with me that's all you need to know." I say and stand up taking my empty plate into the kitchen to get more pizza.

"Madelyn" my mom says with annoyance towards me.

"What?" I say as I slap another piece of pizza onto my paper plate

"That is not how you will act towards Chad I love him very much" she says whisper screaming into my ear

"Mom I'll act however I want around him he isn't my father! He barely knows me let alone getting to know my boyfriend!!" I say in disbelief. This is the most stupid situation ever. I walk back out to the living room and take a seat beside Luke again and start eating.

"what did I miss?" I say as I take a bite out of my pizza

"Oh nothing important" my older sister comments in the awkwardness.

"Are you done?" I ask looking at Luke

"Yeah" he says

"Me to let's go" I say standing up and throwing my plate away, he follows me and does the same, I walk outside onto the porch and sits onto the swing.

"What's wrong baby..?" He asks as he takes a seat beside me, I put my feet up onto his lap.

"I'm just done with my family" I sigh.

"Hey" he starts rubbing my feet.

"What?" I say sighing

"It's gonna be okay" he says rubbing my feet

"But" I say

"There only trying to protect you"

"I know but"

"No buts"

"Fine" I sigh and enjoy him rubbing my feet.

"Are you ready to go back inside?" He asks, I shake my head and laugh and he laughs also

"How am I going to survive this all week" I groan

"Oh you can do it" he smiles at me.

"I guess" I pout

"And if not we can escape and run to my parents and you can meet them how about that?" He grins wide at me.

"Sounds good" I laugh and smile.

"How about we go disappear into my room away from the horrible creatures" my eyes widen and I get up quickly

"Okay" he laughs and I grab his hand pulling him inside and running up the stairs quickly, he follows and then I rush into my bedroom and close the door behind us.

"Oh look at the fetus Madelyn roooooom" Luke laughs flopping onto my bed

"Oh why don't you shut upppppp" I say flopping beside him, he laughs and looks at me, I look at him and we end up kissing

"Babe" I say while he continues to kiss me

"Hm?" He says pulling away

"I can guarantee mom is standing outside the door right now so we better stop" I say kissing his cheek and he pouts and scoots away from me

"Hey that doesn't mean no cuddling" I pout and scoot into him

"Well just incase" he says and continues scooting and he ends up falling off the bed

"Ouch" I hear

"Luke!" I say looking at him over the bed and laughing, I get up and help him up

"Are you okay?" I say giggling

"Perfect" he says rolling his eyes and rubbing his neck

"Aw baby" I say and sit him down and sit behind him and start rubbing his back and neck

"Feel better?" I ask continuing to rub

"If I say yes will you stop?"

"Yes"

"then no" he grins and I laugh and continue to rub

We end up cuddling and watching some Netflix on my laptop, I look up at him and he's half asleep

"Luke" I say kissing his cheek

"Hm" he says trying to keep his eyes open as he looks at me

"I gotta take a shower" I say scrunching up my nose

"Oh sorry go ahead" he says letting me get up, I kiss his nose and then get up grabbing some clothing for my drawer and then heading into the bathroom that is conjoined on my room, I close the door behind me and lock it and then make sure the door that leads into the guest bedroom is locked as well, I start the water making it hot and then strip my clothes down and get in and take a shower.

Luke's POV

As I wait for her to come back from the shower I feel myself fall asleep faster and faster as a boring old movie plays on her laptop on my lap. I hear the bedroom door swing open

"You aren't allowed to sleep in here, it is time for you to go back into your room" her brother appears at the door

"Uh I was just uh waiting for her to come back to say goodnight.." I say sitting up and closing the laptop and sitting it on her nightstand

"No it's time for bed so" he says

I hear the bathroom door burst open and in comes a pissed Madelyn

"Listen Charlie he was saying goodnight to me. Did mom set you up to this hm?? I'm 18 years of age to be 19 soon! I'm in college I'm not her baby anymore ok! You are! So go!" She says balling her fingers into fists

"No! She didn't set me up for this!! I just don't want him being in here when it is clearly time for bed!" He screams at Madelyn

"You don't get to choose my bedtime buddy!" She says stepping closer to him, I stand up quickly and pull her away and back over to the bed

"Sh Madelyn calm down, Charlie I'll take care of it thank you, I promise I'll be sleeping in the guest room tonight" I tell him with a small smile as I rub Madelyn's shoulders gently

"Thanks" he mumbles and leaves

"WHY DOES HE DO THIS TO ME" Madelyn screams standing up and punching a wall

"Madelyn babe calm down" I say standing up and following her sitting her back down again.

"No ok I'm sick of this I'm sick of my family treating me like I'm 12. I am 18 for crying out loud" she cries into my chest

"I know baby I know" I say rubbing her back

"Just go I'll be fine. Goodnight" she says and climbs into bed and turns off the lamp.

"Ok.. Goodnight" I tell her kissing her forehead and exit through the bathroom into the guest room and climb into bed and slowly drift off to sleep.
