Chapter 23

Madelyn's POV

I wake up the next morning in Luke's bed, I look around and Luke's sleeping on the other bed that's in the room, I realize I'm naked so as I sit up I pull the sheets with me to cover my body

"Oh goodmorning" Luke sits up looking over at me

"Morning" I say smiling small

"I slept over here I figured you'd want your own space" he tells me and I nod slowly

"don't you have a roommate?" I ask and he shakes his head

"Oh" I say and look around the room

"I'll go grab us some coffee" he says sliding out of bed, he slips on some shorts and a shirt and flip flops and then leaves the room, I wait until he leaves and then stand up getting dressed, wow I'm sore. Once I'm dressed I sit down on a chair and grab my phone turning it on

"Madelyn omg did you get raped and die?? Where the hell are you??"

One of the many texts I get from Jenny, I text her back

"I'm fine, I'll explain later" I hit send, as I do Luke walks in with 2 coffees and hands me one

"Thank you" I smile and take a sip

"Of course" he says taking a sip of his and we awkwardly sip our coffees sitting there in awkward silence.

"Did you sleep okay?" He asks turning to look at me, I nod

"Good" he says and takes another sip of his coffee.

"I should be getting back to my dorm, Jenny's worried about me" I say standing up and I walk over to him and kiss him gently, he kisses me back lovingly

"I missed you" he mumbles against my mouth

"I missed you too.. So much.." I say before pulling away and leave the room. I walk to my dorm and unlock the door and take a step inside

"Madelyn oh my gosh" Jenny says rushing over to me and hugging me very tightly.

"Talk. Now" she says taking my coffee from me, sitting It on the desk.

"Okay well we went and saw the nutcracker, luke walked me back to the dorm, we started kissing, it lead to us going back to his dorm and..... Frickle frackling." I say

"Oh my gosh Madelyn!" She says trying to hold back laughter

"It's crazy I know, it just kinda happened.." I say picking my coffee back up and taking another sip of it. She just stares at me for a few seconds before picking up her purse

"I gotta head out, I better see you later and you better not be having sex with your ex/ current boyfriend" she laughs and I roll my eyes shaking my head

"Bye" I laugh,

"Bye" she laughs and leaves. I take this as opportunity, I climb up into bed and take my laptop and watch some Netflix on it and cuddle into the bed covers. I watch Netflix until i look at the clock and it's time for dance rehearsals, I groan sliding out of the bed and pull a drawer of dance clothing from under my bed and grab my usual clothing, I push it back under my bed, get changed and then grab my dance bag

"I'm surprised he didn't see my cuts.. It was pretty dark.." I mumble to myself remembering there are cuts all over my body. I shove my phone, my wallet,  and dorm keys into my dance bag, I then pull my hair back into a perfect bun and make my way to the dance studio.

"Madelyn! You and Luke are going to do your duet first" she tells me and I nod walking over to Luke after sitting my bag down

"Ready partner?" He asks and I nod, he smiles and I smile back. We get into our starting positions

"Wow" our instructor says after we finish dancing, I'm panting trying to catch my breathe

"You guys were actually partnering, that looked absolutely amazing, what happened?? I saw a million dollar performance!" She has the biggest smile on her face, I try to smile as I try catching my breathe but I fail and end up just panting harder

"Are you okay..?" Luke asks looking over at me, I nod slowly even though I'm not okay. I'm having an asthma attack.

"You sure..?" He asks and I nod again still trying to catch my breathe.

"Okay everybody line up for the group ballet, Luke you can go wait out on the side, I wanna see the duet again later" the instructor says and Luke nods standing up from the floor and walking over to the side of the room

"You ok..?" The instructor looks at me, I nod still panting way to heavily

"Then cmon stand up lets go get in line" she says and I nod for what feels like the millionth time,  I stand up but fall back right down.

And everything goes black.

Luke's POV

I watch as Madelyn stands up slowly and then she collapse onto the floor

"MADELYN" I scream running over to her pushing people out of the way who are crowding her, I drop down beside her pulling her into my lap and feel for a pulse and heart beat

"Luke I'm taking medical classes let me see her" a girl named  Misty says dropping down beside me. I nod slowly before slowly moving so she can look at her, I still keep ahold of her hand, I watch as Misty's facial expressions change from a examining expression to a worried expression

"We need to get her to a hospital right now there's something not right" she says looking up at me, I feel my eyes start to burn as they hold back tears

"I've got it" I say picking her up

"No Luke we need to call an ambulance you won't make it in time for her to be okay." Misty says as another girl grabs her phone and dials the hospital

"W-what" I say looking down at her pale face and I hold on tightly to her pale hands and fingers

"The ambulance are on there way" the girl with the phone say's
