Chapter 22

Madelyn's POV

"Hey Madelyn come here" I hear Luke calling from across the room

"Hm" I say walking over to him and Kirby talking

"Will you be my double date with Kirby and Mikey to the nutcracker ballet tonight?" He asks turning to face me

"Uh" I say

"Come on  it'll be fun!" Kirby cheers

"We can go as just friends.. We are dance partners.. Maybe it'll help..?" He says trying to shove in a small baby smile.

"I guess" I say slowly and sigh beneath my breath.

"Yay! You won't regret it" he grins wide

In my mind I decide wether to decide if I will regret it or if I won't... No answer.

"Class is starting everybody please take your seats." The professor says rushing in and sitting his brief case down quickly and rushing around looking very stressed. We all take our seats and everybody continues to whisper to their own little groups. I look over at Luke and he's smiling at his hands, as soon as I look away I feel him look at me and then I hear him giggling like a 4 year old, is he happy that I said yes..? Or is he just being Luke. Either way I'm going to make him take good notes at the show so he can lean.

**after class**

"Lucas! Wait!" I say rushing after him

"Hm?" He says spinning around to look at me smiling

"What time is the nutcracker and everything? I mean we need to work this out before and I just ., I don't know I feel like we should get this plan settled" I say

"Do you still have my number?" He asks and I shake my head

"You deleted my number??" He laughs acting offended

"Yes.." I say trying not to smile but I fail quickly when he makes a overly dramatic gasp.

"SHE SMILED SHE ACTUALLY SMILED" he says jumping up and down making him drop his books and bag

"Idiot" I say rolling my eyes with a smile and pick up his stuff for him, I hand them to him and he gives me his phone number and skips off to his dorm screaming "she smiled for me"

"That boy" I mumble to myself and start walking off to my dorm. Once I'm there I sit my stuff onto my bed and Change into comfy clothing, I sit on my bed and take out my notes and papers and Pencils and erasers and binders and I grab my laptop turning on some Netflix and I start doing homework while watching The Worst Cooks In America. Because why not.

After about 5 hours of homework . Jk . But .. It always seems like that long. My phone goes off and I pick it up

Luke😁: Hey beautiful, sorry. Was that flirty? Idk. You better get ready! We leave in two hours! I'll pick you up yeah? (:

Madelyn❤️: alrighty sounds good, see you then buddy!

I put my binders and papers and everything back and then stand up and run over to my closet tearing everything out one by one

"I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR" I throw clothes and slide into the floor groaning, as I do so, Jenny walks in.

"Uhhhh" Jenny says looking at me

"I have nothing to wear" I say sighing.

"Looks like you have plenty of clothes... Why do you needs the perfect outfit..?" She says sitting beside me and taking a skirt out of my hands, she looks at it and then tosses it.
