The Doctor walked into the TARDIS and looked at Amy, she was leaned up against the control panel, she giggled as the Doctor went about fixing things.Amy rolled her eyes "Oh typical bloke straight to fixing his motor." she complained
"Well that's the thing Amy, I am not a typical bloke." The Doctor countered, sounding offended.
The Doctor was completely oblivious, as usual
Amy crossed her arms "Sorry did I do something wrong cause I'm getting kinda mixed signals here."
"Mixed signals," The Doctor wondered, "how?"
"Oh come on" Amy explained sounding exasperated, "you turn up in the middle of the night, get me out of my bed in my nightie, which you then don't let me change out off or ages, and take me for a spin in your time machine, no, no, you're right no mixed signals there that is just a signal, like a great big bat signal in the sky, get your coat off the Doctor is in."
"No," the Doctor exclaimed looking shocked, "no, nonononono, it's not like that, that's not what I'm like."
Amy walked around him a bit "Then what are you like?" she asked seductively.
"I dunno, Gandalf, I'm a space Gandalf, the little green and white Star Wars one."
"You really are not," Amy argued, "you are a bloke"
"I'm the Doctor
"Every room you walk into, you laugh at all the men and show off to all the girls." Amy continued wavering her hands in the air.
The Doctor kept a straight face "Do not." He argued
"What, what about Rory." Amy asked sounding triumphant, and the Doctor let out a laugh.
Amy scoffed "You laughed!"
The Doctor continued to argue, "No, that was an involuntary snort, of, fondness.
"You are a bloke and you don't know it, and I'm going to show you." Amy continued, walking towards him, while he was walking backwards.
"That's not why you're here." The Doctor countered
"Then why am I here?" Amy asked trying to to grab the collar of his shirt, but the Doctor grabbed her hands, "Because," The Doctor began, "because I can't see it anymore."
"See what?" Amy questioned
"Look, I'm 900 and some odd years old, and I seem like a genius, but really I've lost sight of it."
"Lost sight of what?"
"Everything," The Doctor replied., "the universe, all of these little stars, I'm so used to them, I can't see them."
"So you need me to help you see?"
"No. Well yes. Well, sort of. I need you to give me a better view of the universe, I've always needed someone."
Amy cocked an eyebrow "So there's been others then?"
The Doctor closed his eyes for a while, when he opened them, he replied "Yes."
"What were they like?"
"They were... Nice" The Doctor mumbled
"Define nice Doctor."
At that moment the TARDIS decided to play a slideshow of all his companions.
Amy didn't recognize any faces, but The Doctor did. A face he should've remembered, he should've stayed, he should've wanted to remember, but remembering was too painful, and all it took was one flash.
Her face. Her rosy skin and her blonde hair. Her tongue between the teeth smile. Her laugh.
He couldn't help it a single tear rolled down his cheek and a second followed.
Amy turned to him and saw the tears "Doctor, what's wrong?"
"It's her! It's her Amy, why didn't I remember?"
"Who?"
"My Rose, my Rose Tyler."
No I did not make this up, well, I did, but not all of it. I changed it a bit. It's a deleted scene that I watched on YouTube. So yeah...
