The Doctor didn't really hate Captain Jack Harkness, he just found him a bit threatening.

Jack was handsome, flirty, and charming, everything The Doctor was not. Truth be told, he found that extremely annoying, but hid his feelings. After all, he didn't want questions about why he was so jealous of a certain Captain.

"Apalapucia." The Doctor stated.

"Bless you." Captain Jack laughed.

The Doctor rolled his eyes, but grinned nonetheless.

"Apalapucia, a beautiful word, a beautiful worlds. voted number 2 planet in the top 10 destinations for the discerning intergalactic traveller." He explained

"What's number one?" A feminine voice asked

He hadn't even noticed her come in, he swallowed, not sure he could trust himself to speak. Finally he managed to get some words out "Planet of coffee shops, it's hideous, don't go there."

Rose gave him a cheeky grin "Planet of coffee shops? Why'd you go there in the first place?"

"Daleks."

"The Daleks invaded a coffee shop planet?" Rose asked

"Yes they did." The Doctor confirmed

Jack clapped his hands together "Alright, Apalapucia, let's go."

"We're not going!" The Doctor exclaimed, "Why would you think that?"

Jack just stared at him blankly "Uhh."

"No, I just wanted to say that," The Doctor explained, "Apalapucia, fun to say."

Rose smirked at him "Trying to show off our extreme knowledge of the universe are we Timelord?"

The Doctor's cheeks flushed slightly even though he knew she was just kidding he couldn't help but feel embarrassed realizing that was exactly what he was trying to do.

"Miss Rose Tyler, are you being smart with me?"

Rose gave him her signature tongue between the teeth smile "Why yes I am Doctor."

Jack's POV

Jack was feeling as if his head was going to explode. All this sexual tension was killing him.

"Oh just kiss already!" He blurted out, not at all embarrassed by his choice of words.

He felt very triumphant, however, when both The Doctor and Rose averted their eyes from each other and blushed.

Give them a year or so, he thought, they'll figure it out soon enough.
