So I'm pretty proud of the reaction from my last oneshot. I basically just got a bunch of NO's and stuff.
Sorry not sorry....
The dreams had started only the past few weeks, inexplicably. They weren't nightmares - no definitely not. Rose just couldn't decide if they were good or not.
All of them had involved the Doctor and her. It was almost as if her dreams were fulfilling her wishes. Even if they were just dreams.
Rose had been increasingly awkward around him lately - and it hasn't gone unnoticed.
One day the Doctor decided to come check up on her in her room, as she had been spending lots of time in there lately.
He knocked on the door politely, then walked in without waiting for an answer - as usual.
"Are you alright, Rose?" He asked her as he took a seat next to her on the bed.
She swallowed hard and blushed slightly as she was reminded of one of her dreams. "What do you mean?" She questioned in return, playing innocent.
He looked at her hard. "You've been very distant, Rose. Right now for example."
She averted her eyes. What as she going to tell him? "I'm sorry, Doctor. There's just, stuff going on."
"Inform me. I'll listen to anything you have to say, Rose Tyler - well almost anything. Just not any Mickey stuff, yeah?" It was his turn to blush this time.
"Doctor!" Rose looked at him in shock. "I'm not going to tell you the details of my relationship with Mickey. I'm not with him anymore anyways."
The Doctor had to contain himself from smiling slightly. "Oh." He said simply. "What's bothering you, Rose?"
It's not important. Really, Doctor, it doesn't affect you at all." She was trying to get him to leave the subject alone. He wasn't about to give up so easily though.
"Anything bothering you, concerns me, Rose." He assured her.
"Thanks Doctor, but really it's nothing." She met his eyes to convince him she was telling the truth.
"Alright then, Rose. If you need anything you'll come to me?" It wasn't as much of a question as a request.
"Of course." She promised. With that he left. Most likely to go work on some bit of the TARDIS. Sometimes she wondered if there was anything wrong with it, or if he just did it to make himself look cool. She suspected the latter.
The Doctor entered the control room and swung the screen around to face him. He saw the last of Rose Tyler's dreams. His face flushed as he reminded himself that it was a dream and nothing more.
If she felt the same things he did. She would have done something about it. Rose had far more guts than him.
I don't really know what gave me the idea for this. I'm just trying to update more often than I usually do.
