Hey! Does anybody here like The Legend of Zelda? What about Zelink (Zelda x Link)? Then I would highly recommend checking out one of my bestest friends, Sheikahzen! She's a really amazing writer and you definitely won't be disappointed. :D
I'm really, really nervous to post this, and I don't even know why. I worked really hard finding a cheesy song to match the title. xD
..And I failed.
I also have a question: how many people actually like Valentine? I'm considering doing a shorter story about her past, but I usually don't go crazy over my OC's, so I don't want to waste time if nobody will really care enough to read it. Thoughts?

Valentine lay across two chairs like they were a bed, staring up at the ceiling. She had read every magazine in the room and in the blue blur's room next door, and there was no television, so she had to resort to counting the white ceiling tiles the hard way, one by one. There were somewhere between three hundred twenty and three hundred twenty four, but it added up differently every time. She groaned as she turned on her side and let her arm hang off, and her crimson gaze traveled to the bed where the sleeping ebony hedgehog lay. She felt so sorry for him. He had devoted the moment to holding Sonic back, and he ended up beaten down in the end. Bruised, cracked ribs, a broken arm, several bruises, and a very slight skull fracture that, fortunately, would heal on its own. And yet, he didn't seem to mind all that much, and spent most of his time sleeping off pain medicine. In her eyes, he was the kindest man on the planet.
She slipped off the chairs and melted into the floor, then popped up over the side of the bed. She leaned forward with her arms folded on the edge, and rested her chin on her arm as she admired him. He was lying there asleep and hurt still, but she couldn't help but smile. He had confessed to her in front of everyone, so desperately as Amy had pointed out. He had compared her to the infamous Maria, whoever that even was, and practically begged her not to leave him. If that wasn't worth smiling about, Valentine didn't know what was.
Shadow suddenly sucked in a breath and stretched out his neck, and his eyes fluttered open. Valentine gasped and ducked down to the floor, hiding herself behind the bed. Shadow raised his head and looked around as much as he could, then muttered a groggy, "Cat?"
Valentine gulped and slowly raised up to peek over the side of the bed. "Y-Yes, hedgehog?"
"Oh," He breathed. "I thought you had left."
"Hehe, nope! I've been here the whole time." She declared, then froze. "B-But not staring at you, or anything, 'cause that would be like a stalker.." She added quickly, ending in an awkward laugh.
"...Yeah, okay." He replied slowly, dismissing her awkwardness. Although, he quietly wondered just what she had been doing before he woke up. "I'm hungry."
"Okay, I'll call for the nurse." She said as she reached over him for the call button that sat on the opposite side of the bed. As she took it in her hand, however, and was retracting, he raised up and planted his lips on hers with a surprise kiss. Eyes widening, she immediately pulled away and with a yelp she toppled off the side of the bed fell back on the cold tile floor. He sat up, though he hissed as pain shot through him, and looked down at her. "What? Are you okay?"
"N-no!" She stuttered awkwardly, holding her wrist to her mouth as her white cheeks slowly got redder. "What was that!"
"That?" He smirked. "That was called a kiss. Never done it before?"
