Eponine gasped in shock
"Its not what it looks-"
but the door slammed behind him all the nurses turned to watch. Eponine went to get up and follow him when Enjolras grabbed her hand.
"Stay.." he said hoarsley
He reached up and gently wiped the tear that escaped her eye. Eponine noticed that Enjolras' wound started to bleed once more. It gushed though the white silk hospital sheet. The crimson red color startled her greatly.
"Oh god! oh no Enjolras!"
She called for a nurse and 3 of them rushed to his side. One of the nurses restrained her and told her to wait outside.
Hours passed and she couldnt sit there any longer. She decided to head back to the barricade. As she turned the corner cautiously she realized it was oldly quiet. She thought maybe the boys went to sleep after all it was about midnight. She stepped in a puddle but bent down curiously because it hadnt rained recently. She dipped her fingers and brought in close so she could see. The liquid upon her fingers... crimson red.
She ran the corner and saw many army men and her revolutionaries on the floor lying still. Her first thought was Gavroche her little brother whom she was very close with that helped along the barricade.
"Gavroche!!!! Gavroche where are you!?"
Her heart sank to her toes as she checked all the bodies that lay in the river of blood.
"MARIUS???"
After she checked the bodies they were nowhere to be found. She sat against a building and started to sob.
