4 Years have passed since Marius and Eponine met infront of the ABC cafe. Eponine was about 17 at this point and Marius 18. Even though Marius was grown he still waited for his father outside of the Cafe during his meetings, for he was very interested in the whole concept that the revolution was working towards. Eponine usually talks to him while he waits for his father every Tuesday. But this time she wasnt there. Marius didnt really worry about it much. but all the sudden someone was behind him covering his eyes.
"Hey there, Marius whats new with you? Whats with all those books you have? You know ive always wanted to be a student too"
"What took you so long for you to meet me here? you scared me quite a lot."
Eponine grabbed one of his books and started skipping around with it. Marius jumped up after her and reached for his book but she hid it behind her back. Marius reached around her and grabbed his book and Eponine giggled.
"I like the way youve grown your hair"
She said without thinking and covered her mouth with embarrasment.
"And i like the way you always tease"
He replied. His father walked out of the room and there was a very loud gunshot. Eponine bent down and ran behind a wall grabbing Marius' arm along with her. When everyone seemed to run off they looked around to the scene. Laying on the ground in a pool of blood, Marius' father. Why would anyone do such a thing? He was such an amazing man. Marius kneeled next to his now passed father just in shock. Eponine not knowing what to do ran away not knowing how to comfort Marius or afraid of making matters worse.
