Eponine walked as one condemned. Afraid that her friends may not be protected in the battle to come. All of the revolutionaries began to hide under the pile of rumble awaiting their enemies. When suddenly she heard a very faint march. She knew it was the sound an army would make and she rushed to the barricade, her hat caught on a rod poking out of one of the old tables. Marius was there to see her hair fall below her shoulders.
"Good God what are you doing 'Ponine have you no fear? You are my beloved why have you come back here?"
She looked down disappointed that her plan failed. When she was about to look up to respond... |BANG| it was the sound of a gunshot. Marius and Eponine kneeled down and covered there heads as Enjolras fell beside them. He was hit in the stomach.
"Eponine you are not safe here."
*Marius checks Enjolras' pulse*
"'Ponine listen to me, i need you to take Enjolras to the hospital" says Marius in a shakey voice
"I do not want to leave you" Eponine responded
"I will be safe i need you to do this for me, please Eponine"
He kissed her upon her forehead as to reassure her. She took Enjolras' arms with the help of Joly carrying the legs they took him to the hospital.
