Josephine's POV

After a few minutes of us being introduced I made my way to where I smelled delicious food and I ate my heart out.

"You never stop eating do you?" I turned to see Jason laughing at me.

" Shut up, where is your mask at?" He looked at me then touched his face before grabbing his mask from the table and putting it on.

"How do I look?" I studied his white tux and mask.

"You look like a magician" I laughed and he stared at me.

"So your telling me I'm not pretty enough?" He crossed his arms and we both ended up laughing.

"So do you like the food?"

My eyes sparkled. "I love it, I'd marry it if I could."

"Or you can marry me" he said and I blushed, I wanted to reply but I was interrupted.

"Would you like you dance?" I looked at a man who had a dark blue mask on.

"Yes I would." I turned to Jason.

"Shall we?"

"We shall." He took my hand and led me to the dance floor.

Not in a million years, Luca.

'Ha you sure fooled him' my wolf Athena said
'Right.'

"So you turned down the beta huh?" Jason interrupted my thoughts.

"How'd you know it was him?"

"Some things can be very obvious if its unknown."

"Haha I love how you didn't answer my question" I darted my eyes at him.

"That was your answer." I just noticed his hands tightened a bit when he pulled me close to him.

"I didn't know you could dance." I smiled at him.

"The least the girl knows, the more she gets interested."

I laughed and looked at him.

"Keep dodging my questions and you'll find me at the food table." He smiled at me and I saw something in his eyes I couldn't identify.

"Jason where is your mate?"

"I haven't found her... Yet"

"Well when you do I'll be sure to congratulate her." I smiled at him and he leaned in closer and whispered in my ear:

"I'm sure if you smile at your mate like how you just did he'll fall in love with you." I blushed.

"No. He won't." I looked down.

He pulled my chin up gently, "then he's an idiot."

'You can say that again' Athena joked.

I don't know why but with Jason I feel so safe, so reassured, so...loved.

Donovan's POV

I watched as the girls walked in. They all looked pretty but Scarlet looked beautiful.

I watched as Shane went to Amelia and Josephine went downstairs. The Luna was no where in sight and Aurora admiring the view.
