Chapter 26: "Die"

3 days later

Sage's POV

Today was the day. We've trained non-stop and today's the day we'll all finally get some piece.

"Everyone shift." Everyone shifted and we were heading towards the prison, as mason describe it. It took 20 minutes but once we arrived I couldn't be more surprised. 600 wolves were waiting for us with my uncle in his human form with a slug face on.

"Nobody wants to make a speech before you die? Or maybe ask why I did this?" He only received growls as he laughed.

"Well then maybe this will do something." He snapped his finger and another person came out with veronica. She had whip marks all over her, she was bleeding from the cut on her leg and had a black eye. The person immediately threw her on the floor and my uncle, no Richard, kick her in her stomach.

At this point people were making advances to him but I growled stopping everyone. Only Jason growled back. I had to think about something. There were 600 wolves there but most of them looked like they were beaten by the way they had slashes on their bodies.

'Attack them with caution, many look like they were forced to do this.'

'No promises. Anyone who attacks are in kill zone with me.'

'Josephine listen to what he says. You don't know what these people are facing.'

'I'll take caution. Now can we get veronica back?'

'Yes.'

Nobody waited. They all made advancements towards him but he held out his hands like he was surrendering.

"You all want a death wish huh?" He laughed bitterly.
"We'll kill you all, just like my father killed all those pathetic excuses they called witches." Once he said it he shifted along with the other person who had thrown Veronica on the ground.
His father killed the witches? My grandfather did? I was angry and confused. I dodge all the pups and came straight for my uncle biting him on his side but he slashed me on my side making blood spill out from my side.

Aurora's POV

Sage was hurt. I tried to run for him but a wolf stepped in front of me. There was something in his eyes that reminded me of something but I couldn't tell what.

'Your here mi amour.'
'Don't call me that and get out my head.'
'Get out your head? You can never forget me. After all, I took your virginity.'

I couldn't move. I felt something on me that seemed to be stopping me from any movements. It was him. It was him. IT WAS HIM. I wanted to kill him but I couldn't move and he was headed charging at me.

Move.

Move.

Move. DAMMIT!

He was lunging for me when I saw something jump in front of me and then he went down. I looked up and saw phoelia growling down at the dead body.

'Snap out of it aurora. Your stronger than this. And right now, he's rotting in hell. Now we're extremely busy here so I suggest you go help your mate.' I nodded my head agreeing with her. I dodged wolves and even killed some while making my way up to Sage.

Richard was charging at him so before he could even touch sage I charge at him with all the speed I could possible have and used all my weight to throw him into a nearby tree. I quickly helped Sage up and licked behind his ear as we stood together against Richard.

He charged at Sage causing both of them to roll over and I hit his eye causing blood to fall down down from it. That wasn't my attention, but it works. Sage quickly pounced on him causing everyone to stop and look at them both.

This is now over.

That is what I thought before I heard it.

"Strike and you die." In a matter of seconds a silver gun was pointed at Sage. But what was a human doing here? Or why was he holding a silver gun?

I tried to mind-link sage but it didn't go through. Was he blocking me out? He couldn't...He turned and gave me an apologetic smile before he growled.

No...

I ran hoping to reach the person who the gun but it was too late. The sound of the gun echoed throughout the forest and not a sound was made.

"Your father killed the pathetic excuses for witches you said?"
"Pathetic excuse?" I didn't know when or how but the bullet was floating in the air and Veronica was in front of the human with her hands wrapped around his neck.

"Poison." The humans body turned green and he dropped to the ground. Well he's dead..
"Now you." She turned to me and I saw her bright green eyes were glowing.
"Come here." My legs started moving before I could process what was happening. In a matter of seconds I was beside Sage and Richard was still on the ground.

She now turned to Richard.
"You see these two right here? You were never be alpha. And you were never going to. Your brother didn't owe you shit just because you kept training these poor wolves like they were machines. You deserve a thousand deaths for what you've done. But, I'll just end all your suffering now." The wind picked up a lot and I had a close my eyes so the dirt wouldn't flow into it but once I opened it I heard a piercing scream and when I looked at Richard I saw a whole in the spot his heart was suppose to be.

"Rot in hell you bastard." His body was now in fire and yet I couldn't say a thing. No one could.

"And now." She turned to the wolves and some stepped back.

"I won't judge you if you did something terrible to me back there. But some of you are an empty shell of what you use to be so with these words being said, Die." One by one wolves from Richards side dropped, but not all of them.

She turned to where Jason was and smiled.
"We won" was the last thing she said before passing out.

What the hell just happened?
