Sage's POV
We were all in my office and the girl was staring at me intently, what surprised me the most was how she didn't try to escape and the fact that she was a witch. They were all told to be dead and the last witch that was ever spotted was over 10 years ago and the child was burned alive by witch hunters.
"So what were you doing on our territory?" I put the though in the back of my head, now we need to figure out what is going on with these two.
"We first, I rolled onto your "territory" you see a branch has tripped me and once I got up two wolves growled at me, so I did what any normal person would do. I ran for my life but then got tired so I left them capture me."
"What do you mean by let them capture you?" Donovan asked her slightly annoyed.
"Let me break this down for you since you clearly don't understand. I could of easily escaped but I let whoever those guards were capture me. Oh and one of your guards look suspicious, you should be noticing these things."
This caused both me and Donovan to growl. How dare she lie?
"She's not lying. While the guards were walking me down to the cell I noticed that I haven't seen one of them and I always go down to talk and or give the guards food." I looked at Jason and knew he was telling the truth by the determination in his eyes.
"Why did the guard say he say he saw you walking around on the day of the murder then?" Donovan asked.
"I don't know if he's lying, or if he's an idiot but I was asleep on that day. I wasn't walking around and even if I was more guards would of seen me instead of just him and if you looked at the guard well you would see that he had uncertainty in his eyes. Maybe he was trying to get on your good sides even."
I heard a chuckle coming from the girl and she smiled.
"Well there you go. No one is lying here and you both acted on wrong judgment which is understandable." She was talking to us but she was looking out the window almost waiting for something.
I pondered all this. Could it be maybe that I convinces myself to think Jason had something to with the recent murders because I needed a suspect?
I turned to Jason and he smiled.
"All is forgiven Alpha." Jason was very good at doing whatever task he was put to. Before I asked Jasper, I first chose Jason to be my third in command but he declined and instead asked to be a chef. I could never understand what he was thinking.
I turned to the girl but it was too late. The window flung open and she started jump right out and at first I was caught off guard by how fast she was moving.
"Come on." Donovan snapped me out of the daze as I, him, and Jason ran down the steps and outside to find her.
Veronica's POV
I dropped down from the window and ran in front to where I heard the distant cry for help. I focused my attention to where I saw one guard and a wolf who were stalking towards children who were frozen...probably due to shock.
I watch as both the wolf and guard dropped onto the ground screaming for bloody Mary.
"What are you.... Doing to.... Us." The guard manages to say and I walk to them and bend down.
"I'm killing your insides one by one. Don't try mind-linking your boss because your already dead." I looked at the two dead bodies in front of me and remembered part of my past.
** Flashback **
I stood looking at the colorful Sky waiting for my parents to return. Where were they? Why are they taking so long? I heard banging on the door and my oldest sister came running in my room and slammed it shut.
