Chapter 25: It'll be ok

Aurora's POV

"Who is he?"

"I don't know."

"What's his name?"

"No clue."

"He looks like Jason doesn't he?"

"Listen- oh yes he does." I watched as phoelia stared at the boy and Scarlet who were having a conversation.

"Who the girl?"

"I don't know."

"What's her name?"

"No clue"

"Shes-"

"Just.Stop." I laughed and sat next to her as Scarlet came over to us."

"His name is mason and he's 15. He had an older brother but he claimed he died."

"Oh" Josephine and I answered at the same time.

I was going to ask a question when the doctor came over to Scarlet and said he needed to see her.

"Is everything ok?" I asked her studying her carefully.

"Yes, everything's fine" she smiled and walked away with the doctor.

"Is she ok?" I turned to phoelia.

"Yes... she's fine."

"Well-" I couldn't finish the sentence when Jason came rushing in.

"What happened?!" He rushed over to both of us and phoelia pointed to the rouge only to have Jason look astonished.

"Mason?..." The boy turned around and they both stared at each other before saying something you wouldn't expect.

"You should be dead." They both said at the same time.

"Huh?" Phoelia and I managed to say.

Today was going to be a long day.

Jason's POV

My brother. My little brother was here. But, what exactly was he doing alive?

"Is this some kind of joke?" I asked looking at him.

"I should be asking you that."

I went up him and pulled him into a hug. It didn't matter how he got here. All that matters is that he's here now.

"Your not going to kill me will you...?"

"Why would I?"

He was about to talk when Sage busted through the doors.

"He always has to ruin the moment." Josephine I think it was said.

"Alpha."

"Jason. Move. Let me see the rouge."

"Don't talk about him like that. That's his brother." I didn't even notice they were all here.

"Brother? Damn this makes it even harder."

"Makes what harder?"

"I believe he's the rouge that took Veronica."

Just like that all thoughts of family were thrown out of my mind.

'Is this true?!' I asked angrily.

"Yes. But let me ex-" before he could finish it my fist connected with his mouth making him fall down.

A few seconds later I was being held back by sage and my brother was getting up from the floor.

"Calm down." Sage's attempts to calm me down didn't work as I broke free of his grip. I was going to reach for him when I felt something stab against my neck.

"It'll be ok." Was the last thing I heard before passing out.

Aurora's POV

We all watched in silence as Jason went down with a thud and all our eyes snapped to one of the nurses.

"Sorry I didn't want him attacking anyone innocent." She smiled warmly at us.

"Uhh..." I was kind of in shock but I was soon snapped out of it when I saw phoelia grab mason by the collar.

"WHERE IS SHE?!"

"I'll show you where she is. But you need to listen to me first... Please.."

"Yes right. Like we wi-"

"Phoelia stop. Everyone makes mistakes and it doesn't cost us anything to hear him out."

"That's right. But if he makes 1 mistake, he's done for." Sage glared at him and mason smiled.

"I won't. Because I owe her my life." He looked in the direction of the girl they had been taking care of and looked down.

"Ok, now here's what happened."

2 hours later

"So my uncle is the leader and he's basically waiting for us to attack any day now?" I was surprised when sage summed it up because I was confused on what he was saying.

"Yes but that's not it.... The girl... He's probably going to kill her. She already can't shift." I was going to say that she was a witch but phoelia put her hand over my mouth to stop me.

"Why can't she shift?"

"Probably because of wolfsbane and she's beaten daily. She's very arrogant, she won't tell anything and she promises death... She's actually pretty scary."

"Ok. Show us the place. Were going to go save her." Phoelia was going to walk but sage grabbed her hand.

"What?"

"Listen, we still have more training to do and we can't rush into it. 1 life is not worth the life of half my pack members but we will save her, we just need a plan." Phoelia was about to object when mason interrupted her.

"Well, I have a plan."

"Then let's hear it."
