Maxine's POV

"So what's your name?" The creeper girl asked. The others had left to fight downstairs, I could hear it but I don't think she could.

"Maxine, thank you for helping me." I smiled but heard them fighting and frowned again. Am I causing this?

"No problem. My names Creeps, the others are Bones, Ender, and the douche​ is Herobrine, I'm sure you could tell." She laughed. "Don't take it personally, he only likes me, Endie, and bones."

"Um...can I ask a question?" I asked. "Maybe two?"

"Sure, no need to be so shy either, I'm not letting anyone here even touch you." She smiled reassuringly. Could I really trust her?

"Where are we right now? The city?" I asked, afraid of the answer. I don't want to go back to the city, I just can't.

"Nope, far far from it actually. We made this house to protect you from Herobrine and anyone else, doesn't look like we have to worry about Herobrine but the others such as the Ender dragon and Wither visit him often, so be very careful please."

"Second," I frowned a little more, looking to the closed door. "Are they fighting because of m-me?" I asked sadly and she looked surprised. "I can hear them fighting downstairs, I don't want to stay if it will make you all fight."

"No! Don't worry, Herobrine is just being a punk. Live with us, we could even protect you from the people you were running from!" She said. My eyes widened. Will they really do that? My eyes welled up with tears and I smiled, hugging Creeps. She laughed. "Shhh, it will me fine. No need to cry."

Ender's POV

I stood outside Maxine's room, having heard all of the conversation. 'She sounds like she's been through a lot if a simple act of kindness can get to her...' I thought. Then I got a little angry. She heard Herobrine and Bones fighting downstairs. I heard but that is because I'm out in the second floor hall. 'Can't they see she went through a lot from her reaction when she woke up?!' I went downstairs and grabbed the two shorter men by their shirts so they looked at me.

"Woah, calm down, Ender." Herobrine said, obviously not wanting to get beat up again. "What's up?"

"That girl up there has been through enough so you two shouldn't be fighting, at least not when she's here!" I whispered, not wanting Maxine to hear.

"She can't hear us." Herobrine sighed, waving it off.

"Yea, she can actually, that's what ticks me off and that's why she thinks she's a burden right now." I whispered. "So both of you shut the nether up before I make you."

They looked shocked but shut up quickly. I put them down again, and teleported away. I need to calm down.

Creep's POV

Damn. I have yet to see Ender THAT angry. I had overheard him when I let Maxine, who had fallen asleep. I smiled and went downstairs to the still stunned Brine and Bones. They saw me, their mouths opened. I rolled my eyes and stood in front of them.

"OK idiots. Ender was right, she can hear very well and yes, you did make her feel like she shouldn't stay in fear she would make us all fight. Thanks a bunch. Anyway, her name is Maxine, she is staying and so are we. Got that?"

"No way!" Brine said, ticked off. "Explain to me why I should-"

"I never said YOU." I glared towards him. "As far as I am concerned your not even allowed to be in the same room alone with her. I don't need a body on our hands especially of a sweet girl like her, so shut the nether up and lower your voice before I get Endie back here." I hissed.

"Fine, but what makes you think she can stay here?" Brine growled, arms crossed. "She should be able to take care of herself."

"No, not really. Maxine was running from someone or something and from how jumpy she was while we talked, even looking out the window beside us every few minutes, then she thinks or knows they'll come back to get her." I explained.

We heard a door upstairs creek open and Maxine come down, almost soundlessly. I wonder is she heard us, we will have to watch out for that. She's quieter then a ninja!

Maxine's POV

"Hey, Max. How'd you sleep?" Creeps smiled.

"Good, thank you." I said, wiping my eyes.

I saw Bones smile and wave, but when I locked eyes with Herobrine he glared at me then teleported away. I frowned, does he really hate me that much? I haven't even talked to him yet, if he ever gives me the chance that is.

"Don't worry about him, it's fine." Bones said, knocking me out of my thoughts. "I'm Bones, nice to meet cha'."

"Nice to meet y-you too." I smiled shyly. "Wheres Ender? D-Did I get his name right?"

"Yes, you did." Bones chuckled. "And I have no idea."

"Hm?" I asked, confused. He was here just a bit ago. They saw this and laughed. I blushed and looked down.

"We aren't laughing at you, hun. Your just really cute." Creeps laughed. "We don't know because when he gets stressed or angry he disappears and reappears later. We have no idea where he goes but it seems to help him."

"O-Oh, OK."
