Just Worried

"So this is why your so close to her." Creeps sighed, lying her head on top of Maxine's. Endie nodded, scooting onto the bed all the way. She'd fallen asleep there but Creeps had no intention of letting her go anytime soon. "How many times has this happened?"

"Uh, every other day since the 'kiss fail', I think?" He answered tiredly.

It's only Ender, Creeps, and Wither at home. The other guys on a mission to get back at yet another debter who failed to give up their end of the deal. They were both tired, it being the middle of the night when this started.

"Why haven't you told any of us?"

"She asked me not to and I agree with her. The more people who know the better the chances are for Herobrine finding out."

"I think he should know." Creeps mumbled. "She can't just keep this from him, he still cares..."

"I know and I'd love to tell him, but we can't. He'll either make it worse or make it better and that's not a coin I want to flip unless we need to."

"And how far is that? When she's actually changed next time."

"Creeps, could you do it?"
"Do what?"

"Chance her like that." It wasn't mean but there was definitely something behind his words. Her frown deepened and he sighed. "Sorry, ignore me. I'm tired and grumpy."

"Endie, your never this passionate about things. Or at least you never show it." She said, tilting her head slightly. "Tell the truth, do you actually love her, too?"

"Yes, just not like he does." He carefully took her back, getting up to lie her back down and cover her up. "You guys got that part right and I never said I didn't either."

"Than how, because it definatly seems like it." She smiled softly. Yes, it was countering her other friend but she found both their love for her adorable.

"I just don't want to see her hurt." He answered, teleporting them back to the living room. "I'll admit, I was like that on day one but never to this extent." He let out a deep breath, crossing his arms and staring at the ceiling. "When I found her like that the first time, I guess it broke me." She frowned.

"Was it really that bad?"

"Not the worst of them, but yes. Yes it was." He sighed. She was almost afraid to ask.

"What...was?"

For a bit he stayed silent, both reflecting on what had happened and never wanting to remember again. He was close to saying 'No' just so he wouldn't have to, but he knew she was worried and couldn't help it.

"The worst was last week, when I almost found her too late. I teleported to the Overworld to check on her but found her in a cave system, on the verge of changing again. As a last ditch attempt she tried knocking herself out via slamming her head into the wall hard. It somewhat worked, but she woke up still pretty bad. I just sat there, cleaning her bleeding head and trying to comfort her." He sighed deeply again, hating the flashback to her shivering, injured form. "That's how we agreed that if she ever turns or is too close to it, it's my job to knock her out."

"Endie..." It was his turn to be comforted, lying down across her lap. He was definitely scared but he wouldn't trust anyone but himself, Creeps, and maybe someday Brine to help her with it. And he was honestly glad it was him. "I'll be fine. I'm sure she'll get better at it eventually." She said softly, brushing his hair.

"Mr. Steal-Yo-Girl strikes again!" They heard, jumping. Endie sighed when he heard Bones laughing hard at his own joke, the three guys waltzing in from down the hall. "What's with the blushing, Creeps? You falling for him, too?"

She jumped up off the couch, knocking Endie onto the floor as she bolted after the skeleton hybrid. "Get back here you stupid bag of bones! You've had this coming for a while!" Wither laughed, leaving them to go find something to eat in the kitchen. Herobrine just shook his head, bending down to help the Enderman hybrid back up.

"You OK, Endie?" He asked, calm for once today. Endie lied back on the couch with a simple answer.

"No."
"What's up?"
"...."

"Just cause we're fighting doesn't mean we aren't best friends, Endie. You can tell me." Brine chuckled. "You actually have the hots for Creeps or something?"

"No, I'll leave that to Withe and the bag of bones, thank you." He cracked a small smile as they both snickered. "No, I'm just worried."

"About what?" He sat down in front of the couch to relax but he wouldn't be getting that.

"About Maxine."
