It's happening again. Her eyes full of tears but with a deeply disturbing smile on her face. I tossed the covers off of her and sat up on the bed, picking her up to hold her. It looks like the stress of it all really did crack her. I held my arms around her firmly, the woman shaking like a leaf in my arms.
"Shhh, It's OK. You can do this, Maxine. You just need to calm down."
"P-Please I-I do-don' w-want to-to hur-t yo-u." She cried. I steadily began rocking side to side, my mind roaming for ways to try calming her down. I'm tempted to get Herobrine but who knows if that'll fix this or make it worse. I looked back down at her when I felt her cling to my shirt, hugging into me as much as she could manage. "I-I'm sc-scared, E-End-die."
"I am too, Maxine. I am too." I answered, trying to stay calm. What the hell do I do? Just continue sitting with her or do I get Creeps? Maybe even Notch? "I'll go get-"
"N-No, do-don't ru-run fr-from m-me. Pl-please do-don't l-le-eave." She cried, getting worse.
"I'm not running from you, Max. Don't worry, I'll stay right here." I quickly answered, hugging her tighter. "Just try to calm down, hun. I know you can do it."
"L-lies." She whispered.
"No I'm not. We all know you can hold it back. You were doing just fine before you knew about it and you were harassed constantly." She stayed quiet but I felt as if it helped a little. "Your stronger than you think. You just need to keep trying."
"H-How?"
"Hmm, you know how I disappear whenever I'm stressed out?"
"Y-Yes."
"Do you want to see where I go?"
She didn't answer but shakily nodded. I teleported away and popped up in front of a lake. I found it years back and it's come in handy countless times. It's far enough away from people to never find anyone here to ruin the view and as a personal favor Notch made it so Brine can't teleport here.
"Pretty right?" I asked. "Focus on this instead. It'll help you calm down."
She silently obeyed and looked over the lake. I turned her towards it in my lap and lied against the cliff wall tiredly. I instantly feel better her but I never expected to bring anyone else here. But admittedly she's adorable to me and I don't mind showing it to her, especially when she's like this. I don't like seeing her like this already. It doesn't fit the kind girl I know her as and seeing her in pain instantly puts me on edge now.
I looked over the lake and smiled contently, still holding the shaking girl. The lake is surrounded by a forest of oak trees, climbing up the cliff side right in front of it. It was far enough from people so they can't ruin the peace and as a personal favor Notch made it so the teleporting douche can't follow me here. Little patches of sugarcane grew around the other side and I had encircled it all in torches long ago to keep the hostile mobs away.
Said torches came in handy seeing as it took a while for her to calm down, falling asleep on me a little into nightfall. I sighed, not wanting to leave but knowing she needs rest right now. I picked her up princess style and teleported home, setting her in her bed and tucking the covers around her. Somewhere in between she woke up a little, silently letting me finish.
"Th-Thank you, E-Endie. For all of this." She looked away from me, a mix of tiredness and sadness on her face. "I-I'm sorry you h-had to-"
"Shh, Maxine." I smiled and she looked back at me. "You couldn't help it and I'm happy I could help. If it happens again, just tell me and we'll go back."
"Thank you." She smiled tiredly and mines grew a little. I patted her head and she giggled. I stood up and she turned over, quickly going back to sleep. I should visit Brine.
