"Brine?" I called, knocking on the door.

"Come in." He groaned. I walked in and closed the door, walking over to the couch in front of the fireplace. He was lying across it, clearly having been asleep a minute ago. "Morning."

"Night actually." I answered, smiling slightly. Looking around the house for him but he was taking a nap in his room all along. After not seeing him for a day and a half and a 3 days before that, it's nice to simply find him in his room. "I wanted to see if your hungry."

"..What is it?"

"Stew."
"Yep, I am now."

I rolled my eyes as he sat up, walking around the couch to sit beside him. How he stands having a fireplace in the nether is beyond me but I'm starting to get use to the constantly warm weather.  Instead of taking the bowl he simply opened his mouth and said 'Ah'. I blushed up a storm but smiled, feeding him a spoonful.

"Hm, tastes different than Creeps usually makes it." He mumbled, tiredly. He leaned over and lied on my shoulder, taking the bowl from me.

"What if I told you I made it?"

"I'd say that makes sense."

"Boo!" I pouted but couldn't hold it, laughing after. I heard him chuckle as he sat back up and elbowed me.

"It tastes fine, Maxie. Thanks." He chuckled and I smiled, truly unable to hide how happy I am at that. The others said the same and I personally think it's too spicy from the netherwarts but I'm glad he likes it.

I lead back on the couch while he continued eating, how long I've been up and awake finally hitting me. Woke up early, went mining, made more clothes, cleaned up the mess of a kitchen, killed some hostiles for materials, and went out to get ingredients since the food chests were already almost empty. There's enough stew for a day but I'm going out early to fill them up with Endie tomorrow.

"Hey, Maxie?"
"Yes, Hero?"
"Don't call me that."
"Than don't call me, Maxie."

"Grr, fine. But only you can call me that damn it." He grumbled and I smiled, not bothering to open my eyes. "Anyway, I've been waiting for you to leave your lockdown to apologize to you."

"Why?" I answered. "At this point I never expect apologizes from you. Not to mention you can teleport in lile Endie has been."

"Ok, maybe I was stalling but still."

"More like sleeping but whatever." I was feeling more confident today and I think it's showing. "Go ahead."

"I'm sorry for being stupid." This, made me open my eyes. I rose an eyebrow and sat up, turning towards him.

"Really?"

"Yeah." He sighed, tossing the empty bowl onto the short table in front of the couch. "I mess stuff up and than I try to make it better and end up hurting you. I'm an idiot and I'm sorry."

For a minute, I had no words. My day long 'lockup' as a bit of a reset button so i didn't actually expect him to talk about it... Much less apologize for it! I smiled and leaned up, pecking his forehead. He sat there surprised and I let out a little laugh, going back to lay down again.

"It's OK. I don't hang around you for your brains." I said, calmly. After a few seconds I heard him chuckle.

"Oh really? Than why do you stay?"

"Sure, your a douche sometimes but you honestly mean well, at least when. It comes to me. Sometimes. Either that or I'm just a masochist." I opened my eyes again to look at him. He was smiling and shaking his head. "You being cute doesn't hurt either." He stopped and I swear, I swear he was blushing. I smirked slightly and stood up, grabbing his empty bowl. "Night, Hero." I sang before I left.

Today is a good day.
