You dropped your bags next to your door, then closed it.

"Levi!" You called in a sing song voice.

Sure enough, the pitter patter of paws could be heard. Seconds later, in the hallway appeared a small cat with sleek black fur and stunning grey eyes. He meowed a greeting as he approached you and began rubbing against your leg, slightly purring.

"How are you, buddy?" You chirped, bending down and scooping him up in your arms. You cradled him and rubbed his cheeks.

You had found Levi on the streets a year ago, shortly after you moved into the apartment complex. You decided to keep him since you were so far from your family. It was nice to have a little companion around.

"Do you want dinner?" You cooed, walking towards the kitchen.

You gently placed him on his bed on the windowsill. He seemed to enjoy watching what was going on outside, probably because he used to be an outdoor cat.

You made yourself dinner and then grabbed Levi's food. You shook the bag a little to get his attention. He jumped down and trotted over to you, rubbing up against your leg and purring. You were the only person he showed affection towards, which kind of made you feel special.

You filled up his food bowl and then went to the couch to watch your favorite show and eat. After a few moments, Levi joined you, curling up on your lap.

After an hour, you saw how late it was. You pressed the power button on the remote and carefully picked up Levi.

"Let's go to bed." You said softly.

You placed Levi on the bed and then crawled under the covers.

Eyes still closed, you reached out to pet your furry companion. But his fur felt longer and silkier... more like... hair...

Your fingers touched skin.

"Who are you?" You screamed, jumping up and grabbing a pillow to protect yourself. You stared at the person who was calmly laying on your bed, with only a blanket draped over his body. "I'm calling the police!"

You leaned back, falling off the bed with a loud thud. You saw the person's head peek over the side of the bed, looking down on you with half opened grey eyes.

"(Y/n)? What are you doing?" He huffed, one cat ear twitching. You screamed again, throwing the pillow at the man, you scooted back until your back was pressed up against a wall.

"Ow..." He mumbled, rubbing the back of his head. "Why would you do that, brat?"

He stared at you with familiar intense steel grey eyes. You cocked your head to the side.

"Levi...?" You asked. He rolled his eyes.

"No shit." He murmured. You furrowed your eye brows.

"Cats don't just turn into people..." You said. The man on your bed gave you a slightly confused look.

"What are you talking about, (y/n)?" He asked.

"You're a human." You said, slowly standing up but keeping your (e/c) eyes locked on his stormy grey ones.

"Wait, you understand me?" He said, his ear twitching. You nodded, your eyes widened with shock. He started to stand up, but you covered your eyes and screamed.

"Don't stand up! Just keep the blanket covering you! Just wait here and let me get you something to wear." You said, blindly slipping out of the room.

You ran to a closet in your hallway where you had some extra clothing from your ex boyfriend that you still hadn't returned.

You ran to your bedroom door and tossed the clothing in.

"Put this on!" You yelled through the door.

You walked over to your small living room and began pacing back and forth, pondering over the situation. These kinds of things don't just happen. Cats don't turn into weird people hybrids. But you sort of hoped it was true. It was a way better alternative to having some strange naked guy sneaking into your house and sleeping in your bed.

"Tch. Stop pacing." A voice mumbled. You turned around on your heels to see Levi leaning against the doorway, tail twitching and ears pointed back.

"You're going to have to explain some things to me." You said, giving him a stern look. "How did you get in my house?" The cat man rolled his eyes and huffed.

"I live here. For about a year now. Remember?" He said, walking towards you. You did take a few steps back, nervous that he might try to hurt you.

"I don't believe you." You said, crossing your arms. "For all I know, you're some nut job in cosplay that broke in."

"Feel my ears." He said. You gave him a confused look.

"What?"

"Are you deaf?" Levi huffed. "Feel. My. Ears."

"No."

He grabbed your hand and moved it to his ear, gently brushing your fingers against it. You suddenly became intrigued and began rubbing his ear between your fingers. They were warm and soft, like an actual cat's ears.

"Oh my god..." You mumbled, your eyes widening in shock.

"Do you know how this could-"

"You've seen me naked before!" You screamed, stepping away.

"You watched a vet shove a thermometer up my ass." He growled, crossing his arms. "I think we're even."

"So... What do we do... You can't walk around the streets with a tail and cat ears." You said, staring up at his ears.

"I'll just stay here." He said, his shoulders slightly shrugging.

"W-What?" You exclaimed. "I can't just have some random guy living with me!"

"We lived together before."

"Yeah... But you were a cat then..." You said, biting your lip.

"I still have the tail." He said.

You knew you couldn't just kick him out on the streets. You brought him in so he would have a safe place to call home. Sure, Levi wasn't the same cat you found, but it wasn't like he knew what being human was. He wouldn't be able to get a job without an education, which meant no food or shelter.

"Okay..."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes, Levi! Get in the shower!" You yelled, crossing your arms.

"I don't like water." Levi mumbled, glaring up at you.

"People shower. You can't lick yourself clean." You began pushing him towards the bathroom. He dug his heels into the carpet and leaned back, trying to resist.

"I'm not going in." He said like a defiant child. You stopped pushing him and crossed your arms again. Levi turned around, wondering what your next attempt to get him in the bathroom would be.

"I'll give you cat nip and let you lay on the laundry."

"Right after it comes out the dryer...?" He asked slowly, staring into your (e/c) eyes. You smirked and slowly nodded. "Deal."
