**POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING**

"Levi, please. She wouldn't want you to be like this..." Erwin said. Levi just grunted.

"Well, she's not here so it doesn't matter." Levi scoffed. "Just let me be."

Erwin sighed. It had been five months since y/n died. Although it was still painful for everyone who was close to her, they were still functioning. But not Levi. He just wasn't able to move on at all. Some days he was okay. He would show up to work, go through his business, and then go home. But on the bad days, he spent his time at home, staring at walls.

"Look, Levi. If you need anything, anything at all, just call me. Any time. Please." The tall blonde man said, knowing he wasn't going to be able to get the raven haired man to go to work.

"Yeah. Whatever." He then hung up.

He threw the phone down on the coffee table next to him. He swapped it for a can of beer. He had been camped out on the couch for about a week. He couldn't bring himself to go into the bedroom he and y/n shared. There were just too many memories surrounding everything in that damn house. If he could afford to move, he would have.

Every time he thought of y/n he could feel his heart ache for her presence. He missed everything, especially the things he took for granted. Like the smell of her h/c hair. The way her e/c eyes squinted when she smiled. How she always insisted on wearing the same pair of ratty old shoes because she loved them so much.

He remember how one day he bought her a new pair exactly like the old ones, but she refused them. She said her shoes had taken her places and had more character. Levi didn't understand what she meant at all. They were only shoes to him, but to y/n they must have been something more.

When he was alone, he would be haunted by memories of her. He dreamt about them. He daydreamed about them. Levi knew he couldn't avoid them, so he went along with it.

*FLASH BACK*

"I want to go to Paris." Y/n chirped on day. Levi put down his book on the coffee table.

"That's random." He said.

"I've always wanted to go. I've never been anywhere in Europe and Paris sounds pretty interesting." She went on, "You speak French, right?"

"Yeah." Levi said slowly. He looked over at y/n kind of like she was crazy. She usually got spontaneous thoughts that she wanted to act on. He knew she was going to insist they go next time they had a break from work.

He kind of loved that about y/n. How she could just think something up. Whether they were romantic, or fun, it was always something special. And Levi needed that in his life. He tended to get absorbed in whatever he was doing, and y/n always managed to pull him out with one of her crazy antics.

"Please, can we go?" She smiled.

I want to die... He thought.

Levi kept dancing with the thought of suicide. No pill could keep him from that. He thought of it as a way to be with her. But he knew y/n would be furious if he hurt himself over her. Levi knew it would leave her just as broken as he was now. So he didn't. He stayed and just prayed he would be able to start living again.

"We have to live for her." One of y/n's friends managed to choke out at her funeral.

He didn't want to have to wait forever to be with her again. Going any longer without her seemed like hell on earth. But he knew what that girl said at the funeral was true. The only way y/n would stay alive would be if there were people who were around to remember her.

So he stayed.

Sorry I haven't updated this in a while. Here's a short one I wrote right after TWD season finale ruined me. I might try to write more for this story or start an actual one with a story line and what not.
