Your life had become a never ending cycle of parties, drugs, and hangovers. But this lifestyle was expensive and lonely.

Until you met Levi.

But it was still expensive.

You met through some mutual friends at a party. Sometimes you wondered if the only reason why he talked to you that night was because he knew you had cocaine, tucked away in the pocket of your grey coat. But he talked to you, which eventually led to a relationship.

You woke up in a messy mattress alone except for a pounding headache. The night was hazy in your memory, but you knew Levi had fallen asleep with you.

Wrapping the fleece blanket around your shoulders, one of the straps of your tight black dress sliding down, you got up to search for your boyfriend. Your footsteps left creaking sounds in the old wooden floors, which didn't awaken the other dead asleep guests that shared the room with you. When you got to the door, you could hear Levi's voice in a hushed tone.

"C'mon. Aren't we friends?" A pause, "I paid you for that. I have a guy offering me half of what you do for a gram. If you want me to keep buying from you, you have to give me freebies sometimes." Another pause, "See? It's not that big of a loss now, is it?" Another pause, "Thanks, man."

Listening to that voice just reminded you of how smooth Levi was with other people. He could use any slang and play any part it took to get what he wanted. He could be a sophisticated and mature man in front of the police, and a terrifying thug in front of a dealer.

You pushed to door open to see Levi on the other side, putting his phone into his back pocket. You gave him a warm smile.

"Good morning." He said. "Want to go get coffee?"

After making a quick stop back home to get changed, the two of you walked down to a coffee shop just a couple of blocks down the street from your apartment. Whenever you felt up to it after a long night of partying, you would go.

"I hooked us up for tonight." He said as the two of you sat down in a booth with your drinks. Levi had gotten black coffee without anything in it.

You weren't sure if you were excited or not. Maybe you were just getting tired of this constant drug use. It seemed like it was all the two of you ever talked about.

Marijuana smoke danced in the air as smokers' lungs released it back into the atmosphere of rainbow lasers and loud music.

You were still sober, but Levi had already done a couple of lines in the bathroom, both you had declined to join him for. So you stood in the crowd, dancing with a few friends. Occasionally, someone would walk by and grope you. If anyone tried to get further, you pushed them off. But one guy was a little more persistent.

"Knock it off." You grunted, turning around and shoving him away. All he did was bounce back and wrap his arm around you, pulling you close to him. You could smell the weed and alcohol in his breath and clothing.

"She said no, brat." A familiar voice growled. You turned your head to the side to see Levi, eyes bloodshot.

"Hey, that's Levi's girl." A guy, who you believed was the host of this party, said. He put his hand on the guy's shoulder, pushing him off of you. You could tell he was extremely drunk by how he stumbled away with the other guy.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Levi asked you. You shoot your head.

"I think I'm gonna go home..." You had to shout into his ear so he could hear you over the music. You could tell he wasn't very happy about that by how he grunted. Rolling his eyes at you, he told you just to go and not to wait up.
