Levi walked down the sidewalk of the city, coffee cup in hand. He seemed to blend in perfectly with the crowd of everyday people on their way to work. All of them wearing dull colored coats and other warm clothing items. Everyone seemed to be on auto pilot. They walked around like mindless zombies as they found their way to their work place.

Levi was among them. He lazily walked down the sidewalk, not paying attention to where he was going or what was going on around him. He snapped out of it when another body collided into his.

"I'm so sorry." The person said, bending down to pick up her papers that were scattered about. Levi ducked down too, assisting the woman. When all the papers were collected, he handed them back to the woman. When he made eye contact with her, he realized he knew who she was.

"Hi, (f/n)." He said. A small blush spread across your face. You hadn't realized who he was either. You had not exactly left him on good terms, and you had avoided him since.

"Uh..Hi, Levi." You said, taking the papers from his hand and putting them back in your bag.

"How have you been doing?" Levi asked. You bit your lip. It didn't feel like two years since you last saw the raven haired man. Since that fall out between you two.

"I've been doing well. Thanks." You stood back up. Levi did so too. "How about you?"

"Same as always." He gave a slight shrug. You both just stood there for a moment, staring at each other. You couldn't really make eye contact that long. You bit your lower lip and looked down at your feet.

"It was nice seeing you again..." You said. Your voice sounded unsure because you did not really know what to say to him. What do you say to someone who you had that kind of history with?

"You too." He said. You drew in a deep breath.

"Well, goodbye." You said, starting to continue down your path. You felt Levi take your wrist, stopping you. He opened his mouth to say something, but quickly closed it. A small scowl came over is face as he looked at the ground, thinking about what he should say.

He did still love you. He did not want to watch you walk away again.

*Flashback*

"I can't anymore, Levi..." You whimpered, tears threatening to spill from your eyes. Levi just looked at you blankly, unsure of what to say. "I'm sorry."

"I expected this from the beginning." He said softly. It was true. He understood eventually it would all fall apart. You were a little ray of sunshine, and he was a dark cloud. You were kind hearted he was stone cold. He was difficult. He was incapable of giving you the sort of relationship you deserved.

"I really do love you." You wiped the tears from your eyes. "It's making this really hard."

Levi just gave a slight nod. This hurt just as much him, if not more, than it did you. You were one of the only people he had ever felt this way about, and it was all crumbling apart in front of him. There was nothing he could do about it too. He knew he was going to have to let you go so you could be happy. It was in your best interest, and in the end, that was all that was important to him.

"Goodbye." He sighed. You bit your lip as you picked up your bags. You walked to the door, hesitating to open it at first, but then you did. You stood in the door frame at first, staring down the hallway. You looked over your shoulder at Levi, a bitter look in his eyes. "Just. Go." He said firmly.

"Goodbye." You nodded and just like that, you were gone. You walked out of his life and he never heard from you again.

You just gazed into his eyes once he was able to look at you. Your heart just couldn't take it anymore. You smashed your lips into his, kissing him for the first time in what seemed like an eternity. His eyes widdened at first, but he quickly relaxed and kissed you back.

"I missed you." You said, pressing your forehead against his.

"I missed you too." He whispered.
