Episode Two ∞ I See the Light

Last episode of Mr. Winter Meets Ms. Blondie!

As Rapunzel’s request was further denied, Mother Gothel finally met the literal embodiment of chaos and nightmares. And while alone, an unknown entity lit up hope deep in Rapunzel’s heart.

Jack Frost smiled as he watches the surprised look of Rapunzel. Her mouth formed a perfect O, and her bright green eyes were full of wonder.

He went away from the mirror when Rapunzel went next to it, observing the message he made. Jack was still unsure how he’ll do this task given to him by the moon.

Rapunzel looked just like an eighteen-year-old girl to him. But when he saw her golden hair, he was left in amazement—her hair was sooo long she could tie him up at any moment and could cover his whole body up without leaving any spaces to breathe.

“Wow.” Jack said.

Rapunzel touched the frost, and it was as cold as real snow—just like what her tear looked like.

Accidentally, Jack toppled over a pot. It fell to the floor and broke into pieces. Taken by surprise, Rapunzel spun around to Jack’s direction.

Jack froze as Rapunzel’s mouth dropped again. He was suddenly unsure if she can see him, but they both didn’t move for seconds.

Honestly, Rapunzel could see him—she immediately recognized him as the boy in her dreams. Wearing a blue sweater, he had storm-blue eyes and that familiar white hair.

“Uh, you can see me?” Jack murmured when he didn’t feel like hidden anymore. This can’t be a mistake—blondie was looking at him in the eye. There was a growing excitement and joy inside of him.

That couldn’t possibly a coincidence.

Rapunzel nodded.

Jack swung his staff to his back, and he noticed that Rapunzel was holding a frying pan. She didn’t dare move until Jack took a step closer with his bare foot.

“Don’t come nearer!” Rapunzel warned, raising her frying pan. What made Jack wonder was, Where the hell did she get that?

Jack stopped and raised his hands. Rapunzel noticed his wooden staff that looked like a hook.

“Why are you here? WHO are you?!” she asked warningly. There was a fire in her eyes.

“Okay, okay! I’m not here for your—hair or something,” Jack said defensively. “Hi, I’m Jack Frost.” He offered his free hand as he smiled.

Although she was trying to resist his smile, she can’t deny that the pale stranger was cute. His teeth was sparkly white like freshly fallen snow, and she couldn’t see anything wrong with him but for his staff. Then she remembered what her mother said—“Boys are dangerous. They have pointy teeth!”

She tried her best to see his teeth from that grin, and to her relief, they weren’t pointy—they were even perfect.

With a bit of doubt, Rapunzel took his hand and shook it quickly. Jack Frost laughed amusingly.

“Why, I have dirty hands?” He looked at his free hand with a smile.

“Your hands are cold!” Rapunzel said. She raised the pan again, warning him.

Rapunzel walked in circle as Jack walked around. If he was a thief, she can’t put up with him—and his staff looked creepy enough. Mother Gothel hasn’t returned yet, and that’s what she was afraid of. She wasn’t sure how to explain this to her mother.
