Six years later...

ROBYN

I sit at my vanity and touch up on my make up one last time. I comb through my bone straight hair then turn off the lights of the vanity.

Unable to put my high heels on, I call Chaz, my fiancé to help me.

He huffs when he enters the room. "What I tell you about wear these high ass shoes? Then you're gonna complain to me later and force me to give you a foot massage."

I laugh at his irritation. He's such a cry baby about everything but he's my baby.

I thank him after he helps me with my shoes. He plants a kiss on my slightly round belly. I still can't believe that I'm carrying a baby inside of me. I'm now five months. And yes! It's a boy. Nothing can take this joy away from me. Carrying a child by Chaz is the best thing that could ever happen to me. We've really came a long way.  We're just now starting a family and so far so good! I'm so anticipating the day my little baby boy is born.

"You look beautiful, baby. You sure you not looking good for no one else?" Chaz smile at me.

"Maybe, maybe not."

He raises his brow. "Oh word?" I grin and began to walk out of the room. He palms by backside with hard smack.

"Ow!" I whine then playfully hit his arm.

"You know better than to talk slick like that to me."

I roll my eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever!" We walk out hand in hand. Tonight we are attending a charity ball. I'm the president and founder of the Every Child Counts foundation that raises money for homeless children, rape victims, orphans and so much more. My sisters are a big part of the organization also.

Reyna is finishing her masters in biomedical engineering. She had a minor in social working also. She should be obtaining her license soon.  Although she is doing so good right now, I still think she said kick back a little more. She's always locked up at home..she doesn't have much friends either. I feel as if she's afraid of going back to her old ways. I surely hope she starts to relax a little bit.

As for Remi, she's still in school and trying to obtain her bachelors degree in nursing. She's still very much involved with Travis. I think he's good for her. They level each other out so perfectly.

Overall, I'm more than proud of my sisters. They're headed in a good direction. I'm happy, they're happy and that's all that matters. The whole family is in good hands. The boys are getting so grown and Brittany, my fathers wife gave birth to another baby boy, Isaiah three years ago. So now its three girls, three boys.

I still think of my mother every day and I know she's proud of us. I still wish she were here but we're doing okay. She did a good job with us, I can't lie. We're stronger, we're wiser... So much wiser.

At the charity ball, I go over, greet everyone and thank them for attending and investing in our organization. Then I give my speech and the raffles and donations began with special guests for entertainment.

Chaz wasn't lying, maybe I shouldn't be wearing these 5-inch peep toe Gucci heels. But when I saw them displayed in the window, I had to get them and plus, they were the last pair ever. I sometimes blame Chaz for my shopping habits. His spoiling is getting to me.

"You wish you could taste this martini. They got a good ass bartender." Reyna comes up behind me.

"Shut up. I really could use a drink."

"Shoot, me too." Its Remi with Travis trailing behind her. We greet them both and socialize with a few more people around the bar. My feet are killing me so I ask my sisters if they bought an extra pair of flat shoes with them. Remi says she did so she gave me the keys to her car to get them.

"Hey, babe I'll be right back." I tell Chaz.

He frowns."How you feeling?"

"I'm okay, just going to change my shoes."

He smacks his lips. "What I tell you about that, huh?" I stay quiet and let him rant to me. "I'll go get them for you."

"No, it's fine. I'll only take a minute."

"Are you sure? Make sure you keep your phone on you." I nod and proceed to walk out of the ball room and out in the main lobby of the hotel.

Walking out to the parking lot, I get an eerie feeling. It feels like someone is following me. Maybe its Chaz since he's always paranoid about everything.

I turn when I hear footsteps behind me. I freeze.

Oh my gosh..

"I knew I'll find you here." They say. I blink, unable to speak.

"Why are you looking for me?" I ask.

"I'm not sure but I know I owe you an apology."

"I don't need or want one. Please leave. I'm fine where I'm at and I don't need you to be interrupt it. Why are you even here anyway?"

"My appeal got approved." King stares at me with wide eyes. "I just got released today. I've sent you letters but I never got one back. I've been worried about you. I know you're engaged and obviously pregnant now..."

"That's none of your business. I'm glad you know but I have to go." I change my shoes into a black pair of Tom's. All while, he's still standing over me with the same blank expression.

I stand on my feet and lock the car. "I can't do anything for you. You said good bye years ago and that's that. I'm happy now." I start to walk away when he pulls me into his arms. I sigh and try to pull away but he has a strong grip on me.

I start to ask him to leave again when Chaz pops up behind him. My heart beat starts to pick up and my palms begin to sweat.

"May I ask what's going on here?"
