ROBYN
I get back home at four in the morning after roaming the streets of Chicago. I've been driving everywhere and stopping at every house I know to ask about Reyna.
It's truly exhausting.
Reyna is still not back and I'm beyond worried and frantic. No one seems to know anything. I sat Beverly and everyone down and asked them about her whereabouts and mentioned that I will be getting the police involved soon. If If find out that Beverley or anyone has been lying to me about not knowing where Reyna has been, I'll make sure their ass gets thrown in jail for being an accessory.
I shower and fall right to sleep. Not a minute later, Remi is waking me up.
"Can we go to the police now? She's not here."
"Yeah, I'm going." I assure her.
"What time are we leaving?" She asks.
"I'm leaving at eight o'clock. You're leaving for school at seven." I correct her. She thinks she's slick and that I'll allow her to skip school. It's only been the second day of school.
"What? Why not?" Remi scoffs at me when I don't budge.
"Ride with Audrey. Not in the mood to drive right now." I tell her. It's true, I'm exhausted.
Remi sucks her teeth. "Are you ever? Maybe if you got there on time, Reyna would be here right now." She slams my bedroom door and stomp to her room without forgetting to slam that door also.
"Don't be slamming my doors, little girl! You don't pay the bills around here!" I yell. I sink back into bed and a lump forms in my throat. Maybe this is all my fault. I should have gotten there as quick as possible. This is happening all over again. I thought we would finally catch a break after finding out what was happening with CT and Chaz. That thought was too good to be true.
Can a girl catch a break before something else happens? Ugh.
CT. He better not have anything to do with Reyna going missing! I pull the covers off my body and walk over to my dresser where my phone is. I quickly dial his number.
He picks up the third time I call him. Some father. He can't even pick up his phone when it might concern his daughter. I still hate and despise him so if he's even involved the slightest bit in this, that's his life.
I'm tired of him stepping in and ruining everything.
"Are you awake?" I ask him when he finally picks up.
"Now I am. Why?" I hang up without telling why. I slip on a pair of moccasins on and a light jacket. I don't leave my room without my bag and my .45 caliber.
Remi is in the shower so I shoot her a text.
I'm stepping out. Make sure you put the alarm on when you're leaving and be safe at school! I'll check up on you later, okay?
I drive out the driveway and get on the highway and to CT's house. I let him go after our altercation. I couldn't kill him, he owed my sisters everything. They haven't mentioned on talking to him yet but I'll give them time.
I get to the house in about thirty minutes and park my car on the side of the streets.
I ring the doorbell and no one comes to the door so I start banging on the door until CT swings the door open.
"We need to talk." I state and step inside the house before I'm invited in.
"Good morning to you too. Why are you here so early anyway?" He looks down at my attire. I now realize that I am still in my pajamas but that's the last thing on my mind and running back home to change would be a waste of precious gas.
