Emma
It's a weird feeling waking up and being wrapped up in someone's arms, I have been sleeping in Lacey's bed for the past week and honestly I have never slept better, having someone to hold onto in the middle of the night is one of the best feelings, I wouldn't even know how to describe it to someone.
I squeeze Lacey softly pulling her body back closer to my own, grazing her ear softly with my lips.
"Merry Christmas" I whisper softly.
Lacey mumbled softly and sunk even further into me clearly not wanting to get up, not that i can blame her, she was awake until at least two in the morning cooking dinner for everyone for today, I offered to help her, but she of course denied me and continued with it herself.
"Come on" I whispered softly.
"Five more minutes" She grumbled like a teenager, she rolled over in bed and snuggled up into my chest, her fingers curling around the fabric of my shirt.
There was no way that I could deny her wish, I would quite happily stay here in this position all day, no questions asked.
"I need to pee now" Lacey grumbled moments later, clearly not happy that I woke her up.
I chuckled softly and placed a soft kiss on her hair.
"I'm sorry"
"Sure you are" Lacey pulled back from me and rolled her eyes.
"Okay I'm not that sorry" I grin in her direction.
"Thought as much" Lacey grumbled once more and rolled out of my grasp and out of bed.
I watch as she walks into her bathroom before stretching in bed and finally getting up myself, leaving her room and walking to her other bathroom in the hallway.
After brushing my teeth and washing my face i made my way downstairs and into the living room seeing that Lacey was still upstairs, i sit down on the sofa picking up the quilt off the floor that we left down here last night and pulled it up over my body to keep the cold off of me.
Lacey walked into the living room and sat down on the sofa beside me, lifting up the quilt so she could snuggle under it herself.
"I know you want to go and make me a hot chocolate" Lacey grinned over at me.
"Do I? I wasn't aware that I had offered" I arch my brow at her.
"Well you didn't, but I know you were thinking it"
"Wow you can read minds too, what else don't I know about you?" I grin.
"There's a lot, but you'll learn it over time" She smiled softly.
"I look forward to it" I nod.
"So about that hot chocolate" Lacey started yet again.
"Okay I'm going" I roll my eyes softly and stand up out of the warmth of the quilt and make my way into the kitchen.
While i am heating up the milk I walk over to the boiler and turn the central heating on to try and warm up this house, I glance over at the meat that was wrapped in foil sitting on the kitchn side, do I sneak some without her knowing? But she'd probably hear me taking the foil off so that wouldn't work, I can wait, it's only a few hours.
I finish making the hot chocolate's and walk back into the living room, starring down at the mugs in my hands being careful not to spill any of the hot liquid over the edge.
Lacey smiles and accepts her drink from me, lifting up the quilt with her free hand to allow me to sit down beside her, as soon as Lacey settles the quilt over my lap she lifts up her side and pulls out a rectangle box beautifully wrapped in silver paper with a green bow.
