Chapter 6

I feel two strong hands around me. ''Are you okay?”  A  familiar voice asks. Oh no, I was hoping for Jai, but it was Alex.

 ‘’Yeah, I’m fine thank you’’ I say while he lifts me up.

 ‘’Are you sure?’’ He asks while he is dusting my hands. ‘’Yeah I’m sure, can you let me go now?’’ I mumble. He nods and he lets me go.

Full of shame I look around me. Everybody looks at me. ‘’She is okay guys, Let's continue with the next act.’’ Alex says. 

I walk to the backstage area and let meself fall on a chair and bury my face in my hands.

’’Are you alright Ariana?’’ Zoë asks.She puts her hand on my shoulder. I look at her.’’No,not really’’ I say while I burst out in tears.’’Don’t cry, your performance was really good.’’ Zoë says. ‘’Really? Thank you so much’’. I say with a smile through my tears. “It’s okay’’ Zoë says. Hmm, she is not as mean as I thought.

~ fifteen minutes later~

‘’ The third place goes to Mike as comedian!’’ The presenter shouts.

I hear the crowd clap.

I’m so nervous. What if I didn’t win? I hope at least that I win the second place. I cross my fingers and close my eyes.

‘’The second place goes to……Lisa & Zoë!’’ The crowd cheer. Lisa and Zoë walk to the stage and grab their trophy.

‘’And the first place goes to …..the girl who had a fantastic performance but trip at the end’’ The presenter giggles.’’Ariana Grande!!’’ First I didn’t believe it. Did he really say my name? But Jennette pushes me. ‘’GO ARI’’ she shouts. I walk carefully to the stage.’’Good work girl’’ The presenter says when he gives me my trophy.’’Thank you’’ I say blushing. ‘’I like to say something’’ Alex says. I turn my face to him. He winks at me. ‘’Ariana has a amazing voice, she deserves the first place’’ The crowd cheer. Alex laughs.’’They agree’’. I smile. He’s sweet. ‘’Thank you, Alex.’’ I say while walking to my seat.
