Unexpected love (Jai Brooks + Ariana Grande fanfiction)

Chapter 13

He stares at the ground. He doesn’t talk for like 5 minutes. Suddenly he stands up and starts to walk back and forth. I can’t do anything, so I just stare at him. This is such an akward situation. 2 Minutes later, he stops and sits next to me. Then he looks at me. ‘’Sorry that I let you wait. But I can’t believe what you just said. I like you Ariana.I like you alot. I think I’m falling in love with you, but I need to figure it out. I need to go on a few dates with you,so I can figure it out. Sorry Ariana.’’ Jai says.  ‘’You don’t need to apologize Jai. I understand your decision. We only went on 1 date, that’s not enough. ‘’ I say.

Then I think about Zoë. ‘’What about Zoë?’’ I ask. Jai grabs my hand.’’Now I have to tell you my story’’ He says and begins:

 ‘’ Zoë is now 2 years my girlfriend. In the begin of our relationship, I loved her so much. She was perfect. I couldn’t live without her. After 1 year, she began to be bossy against me. I was still in love with her so I didn’t mind. But it became worse. She didn’t want me to go anywhere without her. I couldn’t be with friends, or make homework without her. So my friends started to hate her.They still hate her. So I tried to break up with her. She said no, so I was still her boyfriend. Then after a few weeks, she started to be nice to me. I fell in love with her, again. I was so dumb. But now , she is mean to me again.I don’t know why. I’m suprised that she lets me go out with you. ‘’ 

A tear escapes out his eye. He quickly whips it away. I grab his other hand and hold them. ‘’I’m here for you Jai. You can trust me.’’  I try to calm him.

 *Jai Pov*

Ariana is holding my hands. ‘’I’m here for you Jai. You can trust me” She says. I stare into her eyes, but she looks away and let my hands go. ‘’Uhm, I need to go home.’’ Ariana says and stands up.She trips and falls into my arms. ‘’Are you okay?’’ I ask her. She nods and tries to stand up again.

When she is up, she walks away. I follow her.I grab her shoulder and turn her around. I see tears in her eyes. ‘’What’s wrong?’’ I ask. Ariana covers her face with her hands and runs away. I follow her till she stops and lets herself fall on the sidewalk. Why did she run away? I ask myself. What did I do wrong?
