Chapter 24

Before my mom opens the front door, I stop her.  ‘’Shall we give Jai some cookies to go home with? We have enough’’  I suggest. ‘’What a good idea! Wait here’’ She says and walks back to the kitchen. ‘’Thank you” Jai whispers to me and he pulls me closer to him. I give him a shy kiss on his cheek. Then I remember the Janoskians photos on my tumblr dashboard. ‘’Jai, who are the-‘’ 

 ‘’C’mon lovebirds’’ My mom interrupts us with a plate full of cookies in her hand. I open the front door and walk to our car. Jai follows me and grabs my hand. ‘’Are you going to finish your sentence?’’ He smiles. ‘’Maybe’’ I tease and step into the car. Jai walks to the other side of the car and step in. He moves to the middle seat and places his hand on my hand. ‘’Are you going to finish your sentence now?’’ He repeats his question. I sigh before I start.

‘’Before our date today,I was scrolling on Tumblr. Suddenly, I saw a old picture of you, where you hair was straight’’  I look up at Jai. He giggles. ‘’What?’’ I ask him. ‘’Nothing, please go on.’’ He says.  ‘’So, I typed your name in the search bar. I found pictures tagged with Janoskians. Who are they?’’ I end my short story. ‘’You really don’t know?’’ He smirks. I shake my head. ‘’Please tell me’’ I beg him. 

‘’We are a YouTube comedy group & pranksters.’’  He says. ‘’Who is we?’’ I ask him.  ‘’My brother Beau, my twin brother Luke and two friends.’’ He says and he looks outside. He seems sad. ‘’Where are they?’’ I ask shyly. I hope he will answer. He looks at me with tears in his eyes. ‘’They are in-‘’   ‘’Which number Jai?’’ My mom interrupts us AGAIN.  ‘’18’’ Jai answers and turns his face to the window. I try to grab his hand but he removes his hand. ‘’Here we are’’ My mom turns the engine off.  Jai sighs before he steps out. ‘’I will walk you to the door’’ I say. Jai shakes his head, but I’m already out the car. I walk to his front door and knock. Jai whipes his tears away before the door opens.

’Jai, there you are. How was your date?’’ The strange woman asks Jai. I think she is Jai’s mom. ‘’It was fun’’ Jai answers shortly. He give me a quick kiss on the cheek and walks inside. That was weird… ‘’I guess that you were his date today? What’s your name gorgeous?''She asks me. ‘’I’m Ariana’’ I shake her hand. ‘’I’m Sarah, Jai’s aunt.’’
