Unexpected love (Jai Brooks + Ariana Grande fanfiction)

Chapter 10

 Nah, homework can wait. I grab my phone and open the unread message. My hand trembles. I quickly read the message, then I read it slowly. He doesn’t want me to text him now, because he is with Zoë. I bet Zoë will be angry if she knows that Jai texts me. I will ask him later.  Now I have to make my homework. But I can’t concentrate. Jai's message is still in my head.  I go on twitter and scroll through my timeline. Suddenly I see @Zoëxx. I click on her tweet and read:

·        Watching Titanic with my boyfriend! Nobody can break our relationship <3

I click on the photo. It’s a photo of Zoë kissing Jai.The tweet is definitely about me. She knows that I like Jai.

I stare at the picture for a minute. Then I look at Jai’s face. Wait,he doesn’t look happy. I zoom in on his face. No, he really doesn’t look happy. Maybe  Zoë forces Jai in their relationship. I sigh. I have to stop thinking about them and make my homework. 

*Next day*

 I sit next to my friends while I’m eating my chocolate cookie instead of sandwich. I’m not hungry. Jai’s unhappy face on the photo makes me sad. ‘’Eeh guys, do you think Jai is happy with Zoë?’’ I ask. Rachel shakes her head. ‘’I think not, he is happier when he is with you.’’ She says. I blush. ‘’Really?’’ I ask with red cheeks. ‘’Yeah,yesterday he didn’t want to go.’’ Rachel says.  I smile.

Then I see Jai in the distance. He looks at me and smiles. I wave at him. He says something to his friends and walk to me. ‘’Heey, how ya doin?’’  He ask with a smile on his face. ‘’I’m fine, how are you?’’  I ask while my voice trembles. ‘’I’m okay. I have a little question. Shall we go to the cinema friday?’’  Jai asks. Omg is this for real? Did he just ask me out? ‘’Uhm uhm,only if Zoë is okay with that. I don’t want to break your relationship.’’ I answer. Oh god,he just wants to hear yes. Not a whole story.

‘’ Uh basically, I need to ask her.Do you want to come with me?’’ He says with a puppy face. ‘’Aw sure,because you did the puppy face’’ I say laughing.  ‘’Okay,come on!’’ Jai grabs my arm and we walk to Zoë.

‘’Owh,there you are. What is she doing here?’’ Zoë asks while grabbing Jai’s arm, but Jai doesn’t let me go. ‘’I want to go with her to the cinema Friday, can I?’’  Jai asks. Zoë looks surprised. ‘’Remember you have a girlfriend,that’s what I can say.’’ Zoë says while kissing Jai on his mouth. Jai nods, but I can see his mood changed.  ‘’So I will see you at the cinema 8pm.’’ Jai says to me. I nod and walk back to my friends.

*Friday*

Jai doesn’t want to tell me which movie we are going to watch. I ask him via IMessage 8 times, but he still doesn’t want to tell. So it’s a suprise for me.

It’s 5pm. I’m so nervous. I don’t know what to wear.  I open my wardrobe and stare at it for 5 minutes. What’s good for a date with a friend? I grab a cute purple short dress. I think this is good. I send Alexa a photo of the dress and ask if it’s good for the date. After my quick shower, I get an answer.

It’s perfect! You will look good in it. Have fun my darling! Xx Alexa

Aw Alexa is so sweet. I send the same photo to Jennette and wait for her answer. After 2 minutes my phone vibrates.

Holy! That’s a cute dress! He will dump Zoë for you. Tell me everything when you’re home.

I smile. Now I only have to wait till 8pm.
