Chapter 41

*Jai Pov*

Suddenly someone pushes us apart. I have the feeling that I know who it is.

‘’GO AWAY” Alex points to the door and everybody turn around to watch us. I knew it.

‘’What’s wrong? I was only dancing with my girlfriend’’ I shrug.  That sentence makes Alex go crazy.His face turns red. The punch in my face was unexpected. ‘’Jai! Are you okay?’’A worried voice asks me. I try to nod, but it hurts so much. I can’t see anything, only darkness. 

 *Ariana Pov*

I’m not angry. I’m furious. I stand up and turn around. ‘’You hit my boyfriend” I push Alex. ‘’He has done nothing to you’’ I push him harder. His back touches the wall. Now he can’t go anywhere. ‘’I’m sorry’’ He whispers, but I don’t feel sorry for him. He hit my boyfriend!

‘’You had no reason to hit Jai infront of everybody. He didn’t deserve it!’’ I hit his chest and walk back to Jai, who is still on the ground. ‘’Baby, wake up’’ I whisper in his ear. Finally he blinks. I whip my tears away and kiss him on the cheek. ‘’I love you Ariana’’ He whispers quietly. ‘’I love you too Jai’’ His lips reach mine and I kiss him back.  After a minute, I pull away. Jai looks confused.‘’You are still on the ground, silly’’ I giggle and help him get up.  ‘’Thank you’’ Jai whips his hands on his pants and touches his jaw. ‘’My jaw hurts so much. Is he a boxer or something?’’ He asks. I shake my head and take his hand in mine. ‘’Cmon, lets get out of here. I don’t wanna see that stupid guy anymore’’ Everybody looks at us when we walk out. I shouldn’t have bought a present for him.

 *Jai Pov*

My cheek and jaw are hurting. I hope they aren’t red. I feel so embarressed. I didn’t even hit him back. I’m such a pussy. I sigh deeply. Ariana notices that. ‘’What’s wrong? Does your jaw still hurt?’’ She touches it carefully. I nod and grab her hand. ‘’But that’s not the thing I’m worried about. I didn’t hit him back’’ I sigh. Ariana hits me with her elbow in my side. ‘’Are you really worried about that? Please don’t be. You went unconscious! You can’t hit him when you are unconscious, silly!’’ Ariana explains and I laugh. ‘’You can always make me laugh’’ I say and hug her. We stay silent for a few minutes and we can still hear the music from Alex’ house. Then I can see a person running towards us. ‘’WAIT’’

Really!? Really?!

‘’I’m really so sorry’’ The devil says. Ariana pulls away from our hug and watch Alex deep in his eyes. ‘’Forgive me’’ He continues. Ariana shakes her head and grab my hand. ‘’Cmon’’ She whispers to me. I look at Alex.Now I have the chance to hit him back but he looks so afraid. ‘’Goodbye Alex’’ I say and walk away with Ariana by my side.
