Chapter 12

‘’So, how was your date?’’ My mom asks.‘’It was fun, I really enjoyed it. We watched American Pie Reunion and then we went out for a walk.’’ I tell my mom. ‘’He is really cute, I think. Maybe you should take him home with you someday, so I can talk to him.’’ My mom says. I giggle. ‘’He has a girlfriend, remember?’’ I say. But then I remember what Rachel said. ‘’He is happier when he is with you.’’  What if it’s true? My mother interrupts my thoughts. ‘’But he looked so happy when he saw you.’’ My mom says. What, she is already the second person who says that. I close my eyes and think about the date. After 2 minutes I fall asleep.

~Next day~

My phone wakes me up.I try to grab my phone with my sleepy head. ‘’Hello?’’ I say without looking on the screen who it is.

 ‘’Hello with Jai.Did I wake you up?’’

‘Yeah, but it’s okay. What’s going on?’’

‘’Nothing, I just want to talk with you about yesterday’’

‘’Not bad things I hope!’’

‘’No hahah but can we meet today,so we can talk about it?’’

‘’Yeah sure, but only if Zoë is okay with that’’

‘’ Zoë don’t have to know everything about my life.So where and what time?’’

‘’Uhm, the park and  2pm?

‘’I’m fine with that. See you then Ariana’’

‘’Bye Jai’’

I look at my clock. I don’t have to hurry up, it’s only 10am. . I try to get some sleep, but I can’t. So I take a shower.After shower,I make some homework. After 10 minutes math, I think I have done enough. Hmm, I haven’t sung for a long time. I grab my laptop and search for a good song to cover it. I find Emotions a good song,so I try to make a cover of it. The high notes are so difficult,but I reach them! I send the video to  Jennette, Alexa, Rachel and Jai. Jai is the first who replies.

You have the incrediblestamazingbeautiful voice ever!! I don’t even know if that’s a word, but it explains what I think. Can’t wait to see you.xxJai

He can’t wait to see me!! Keep breathing I tell myself. My legs start to shake. I fall on my bed and bury my face in my pillow. Then I scream so hard as I can and start singing:

Because that is what I’m feeling now. I watch on my clock. It’s 1PM. I have to dress up.

~In the park~

I already see Jai sitting on a bench. ‘’Heey Jai’’ I say when he looks at me. ‘’Heey Ariana,come and sit with me’’ Jai says and I sit down next to him. He turns his face to me and looks right into my eyes. ‘’I want to know what you mean yesterday with You don’t know how much that means to me.’’ Jai says calm. I blush.’’Okay,I will tell you the whole story:

2 years ago, I noticed you on our school. From that moment, I couldn’t concentrate before I knew your name. So I asked everybody in my class if they know you. A few guys knew you and said your name. I searched you on twitter and tweeted you. Then your girlfriend dm’ed me with the message that I had to stop with talking to you. I stopped,but I thought of you everyday. I saved every photo that I found of you. I was so obsessed. But then, at the talent show. You talked to me. I was so suprised. I just can’t believe that my crush, who I stalked for 2 years, talked to me. I still can’t believe it.''

I look at Jai. But I can’t see what’s his reaction.
