Chapter 17

*Ariana Pov*

Jai slowly pulls his lips away and smiles. I’m still in shock. ‘’Wh-What was that?’’ I stutter. Jai laughs and kisses my forehead. ‘’That was a kiss.’’ He answers and he leans forward, trying to kiss me again. I stand up and walk to an other bench.I sit down with my head in my hands, thinking about what happened to me in the past.Before I start crying, Jai pulls me up and hugs me. I cry into his chest. ‘’Ariana,what’s wrong?’’ Jai asks. ‘’I’m afraid.’’ I whisper. ‘’Of what Ariana?’’ He asks. I can hear by his voice that he is worried. ‘’I’m afraid of  Zoë’’ I whisper. ‘’I think she will be angry, because you choose me over her.’’  I continue. ‘’Don’t worry about Zoë, I will protect you’’ Jai’s voice calms me. I force a weak smile and hold him tight. We stand there for like 5 minutes, when we hear a voice.Speaking of the devil……

‘’You guys are having fun without me?’’ Zoë says while walking to us. ‘’Where is your ‘boyfriend’? You dumped him already?’’ Jai snarls at Zoë.  ‘’I’m here.’’  A boy says and he puts his arm around Zoë’s waist. I press myself firmly against Jai’s chest.He will protect me,he will protect me. That sentence is the only thing in my head right now. ‘Somebody is acting like a little baby here, aww’’ Zoë laughs sarcastic. ‘’Somebody is acting like whore’’ I snarl at her while turning around, so I can look at her. ‘’Sst, I can handle this.’’ Jai whispers to me, but I don’t listen. ‘’So, do you want to say anything or did you come here so you can spy on us?’’  I shout. Zoë looks uncomfortable for a second but then she walks to me. ‘’Stay away.’’ Jai says, but I slip out his embrace and walk to Zoë.  ‘’What?’’ I say confidently. ‘’Stay away from my boy-‘’

But before she can finish her sentence, I interrupt her. ‘’He isn’t your boyfriend anymore, he broke up with you!’’ I shout at her. I feel that my cheeks are turning red, but I don’t care. Zoë needs to know that she can’t get everything that she wants. I walk back to Jai and kiss him on mouth. I look at Zoë and she looks broken. She deserves it, but I feel sorry. I sigh.’’Sorry Zoë, but it’s your own fault. If you have a good guy, you have to keep him. Have fun with your new boyfriend. I wish the best for you.’’ I say to Zoë. She smiles and shakes my hand. ‘’Thanks for making me realise Ariana.I won’t bother you guys anymore. ‘’ Zoë says and walks away with her new boyfriend. ‘’Good job baby’’ Jai says and kisses my nose. I giggle and hit him playfully on his nose. His laughs makes me happy.

‘’What time is it?’’ I ask. Jai looks on his phone. ‘’It’s 6 pm. I will walk you home’’  He grabs my hand and start walking. ‘’Uhm Jai?’’ I say with my eyebrow raised. ‘’Yeah?’’  He say while squeezing my hand. ‘’Do you know where I live?’’ I ask while trying not to laugh. Jai stops and slaps his own forehead. I can’t hold my laugh anymore. Jai laughs too but then he looks at me with a serious face. Before I could do anything, he starts to tickle me. ‘’JAI!’’ I scream trying to run away. ‘’JAI STOP!’’  Finally Jai stops. ‘’Thank you’’ I laugh and take his hand again. ‘’I will show you where I live’’ I say and start walking.
