Chapter 5

While the presenter brings the public in the mood, I’m shaking backstage. The room is completely full of teachers, students and parents. I see my mother. I wave and quickly hide myself behind the curtain. When I want to sit on my chair, I see Zoë. She smiles and walks towards me.’’Heey, what are you going to do?’’ She asks. ‘’You will see’’ I answer. ‘’Uhm okay’’ She says and walks away.

 ‘’ ZOË!!’’ I hear a familiar voice calling. Of course, it’s Jai. He walks to Zoë and kisses her forehead. ‘’Good luck, my princess. I will be watching you.’’ He says and he walks away. I look at Alexia. She is standing next to me. ‘’He is in the room’’ I mumble. I let myself fall on a chair. ‘’He is in the room’’ I mumble again. ‘’You can do it’’ Alexia says.

After five performances is it  Zoë’s turn  '' Good luck'' I whisper as she walks along. ''Thank you'' She says with a laugh and then walk confidently to the stage.Then I notice that she has a guitar in her hands. I hope she isn’t going to sing. ‘’Then now Zoë with her guitar & Lisa!’’ The presenter shouts.

I peek around the curtain and Zoë starts to play. Lisa begins to sing. They are really good. They are performing It will rain by Bruno Mars. It's a beautiful song. Everyone in the room is completely quiet to listen to the beautiful voice of Lisa.  Zoë plays the last tones and the audience begins to clap and whistle. Can I still win?? I look at Jai. Of course he looks really proud. ‘’And now Ariana!’’ The presenter says. ‘’Good luck Ari, you can do it!’’ Alexia says and walks to her seat in the room. I walk nervous to the stage. I look at the Judges. Then I search for my mother.She winks to me. I smile. Also Jennette and Alexia put their thumbs up. I put my thumb up to the music regulator and the music starts.

My voice trembles a bit, but then I look at Jai and I let myself go in the music.

 After I sing the last lines, the audience begins to clap and to cheer. I blush. They loved it!I look at the judges,Alex is sitting with a big smile on his face.  

I turn around and when I want to get off the stage I trip and fall. Oh no, this is embarrassing
