Chapter 11- You're Lying

Collette's POV

"You guys are adopted." The words just spilled out of Shay's mouth. I couldn't handle this,seeing my kids that we raised for years cry finally finding out the truth.

"Well we didn't have the three of your guys' birth on film,so how was the audience supposed to know?" Shay said looking straight into their eyes.

"Kids you have to realize,yes we loved you! We realized that you kids brought us closer together." I said putting my hand on Shay's thigh.

"What about our biological parents."

"Gavin,Avia,you two are naturally siblings. You guys may remember your parents vaguely. They were always on buisness trips,I was their friends. I babysat you two,maybe that's why you thought I was your mother from the start." I said with a small smile,thinking of the memories.

"What about me?" Emmi said with a fragile voice.

"They brought you to us literally the day after you were born. I think your parents didn't want kids yet,so they decided to put you up for adoption. But when the producers saw that you looked like your father and I,they took you and gave you to us. You guys have no memory of this because we took care of all of you from a very early age. Eventually,we felt comfortable,we loved you,so we legally adopted the three of you. And so began the Shaytards."

We were dead silent.

"So...we're not all related to each other." Gavin said. I nodded my head slowly. "Brock come here." Brock walked over to him.

"Did you understand what they said?" He shook his head. "Good. Remember Brocky,I'm your big brother and always will be." He said giving him a kiss. I saw Shay put his hand on mine.

"I guess we did something right." He said with a toothless smile. We kneeled down,so we were looking up at the four of them."

"We are so sorry." I then broke down on Emmi's lap. I looked up and saw her stroking my hair while Avia grabbed her hand away.

"Please,please Avia forgive us. We were so consumed that we didn't realize the beautiful children we had right in front of us!" I said looking at her beautiful,scarred face while she looked away.

"We never regret getting the three of you. Please,we really do love you." Shay said holding her hand.

"If we give you another chance,you two aren't gonna blow it right? The minute you starve or abuse one of us again,we're out." Shay and I nodded our heads enthusiasticaly.

"You guys get one more chance. We got a chance with a family,we might as well take it."  We all stood up and had a real family group hug. There wasn't a camera on,for once we were acting like a real family.

All of a sudden,Carlie,Casey,Kayli,and Logan barged in. Carlie slapped Collette and I hard on our cheeks taking the kids behind her.

"Don't you dare lay another finger on these innocent children!" Carlie screamed at us. Kayli stood by her to protect the kids.

"What the hell Shay,I thought you loved them! You two Collette,you..." Then he began shaking his head.

"Let us explain!" Shay said before he got punched to the ground by Logan.

"Stop it!" A loud but small voice said. They turned around and saw Emmi with her hands balled up into a fist.

"Read Ceciley's latest tweet."

Avia's POV

Everyone pulled out their phones and went on to Twitter.

"Let me read it out loud."

The livestream on Periscope you watched of the Shaytards was scripted.  They wanted the viewers to see the harms of child abuse. Please spread the word,everything Shay and Collette did was FAKE.

A picture of us hugging after he aftermath was attached.

"See." Gavin said.

They all looked at us with disbelief,then Casey began laughing. "Oh my god you guys got all of us good! That was some good acting girls! Man,I pray for those kids in the world that actually do get abused. Anyways,sorry Shay,Collette." He said offering dad a hand to get him back on his feet. Carlie and Kayli were still staring at them.

"It might have been a joke,but it seemed so real. The minute I find out you were lying,you're both getting it. But not gonna lie,if it was a script that was good acting." My "aunt" said with a smile.

Everyone apologized to mom and dad and they soon left.

"Thank you." Mom said.

"No problem,we were gonna bail you two out no matter what." I said with a grin. We looked at the time,and it was already half past twelve.

"We better get to sleep. We have a lot of explaining to do to the fans tomorrow." Dad said going out of the living room.

"Hey dad."

"Hm?"

"I love you."

"I love you too." He replied. I hope he meant it,I hope this changes everything.
