Chapter 11

Marcus’ POV

My feet touched the cold grass as I landed on a massive field. It wasn’t anything exciting but it was surrounded by mountains and loads of clouds. It would hide us if they would attack from the air. Paige got off my back so I could change back. She looked around and had the same idea as me, this was a great place to fight and we would have the advantage.

Paige stood in front of me as I changed to my human form; she said she didn’t like watching me change because it looked a bit disturbing. If I didn’t love her I think I would have took that into offence. Once I changed I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her tiny waist. Her black hair was shining under the sun and she looked amazing. I put my chin on her shoulder and could feel her shiver. I loved how I made her nervous whenever I touched her.

“We have to set up camp.”  She breathed.

I laughed and let her go. She picked her bag of off the ground and got out a small bag from inside it. She put it on the floor and started moving her hands. A tent was built in no time. I glanced around to see the entire army putting up tents across the field. Oww god that’s what they are now an army. I brought them here, I made this happen.

“So this tent is for you and me.” I asked.

“Yes it is, why?” she questioned.

“No reason, I was just wondering.” I told her.

“I think we should look around, we need to have a plan don’t we.” I said.

She agreed and linked her fingers with mine. We started walking around the field.

Paige’s POV

I walked around with Marcus. I was holding his hand but now he had his arm around my waist and was holding me to him. He’s so cute.

I looked around the place. Grass, some trees, mountains, more mountains, there is nothing we can use. Wait mountains; please tell me this isn’t the place. This can’t be the place.

“Please tell me sister is not here Marcus, please.” I said.

“I… I can’t Paige.” His head was down.

No this can’t be it. I can’t kill my sister here. My legs give way under me and I fell to the ground sobbing. My hands were shaking uncontrollably as I cried into them. Marcus put his hand on my shoulder to try to calm me down. I pushed him away from me and he fell backwards. I swear that I could feel my heart smash into a million pieces at the thought.  I could see Marcus get back up and moved closer to me. He tried to hug me but I moved back so he couldn’t.

“Don’t touch me, you don’t get it, I’m gonna kill my sister here.” I screamed at him.

He looked at me in shock and then remembered my dream. He picked me up and put me on his lap. I didn’t struggle and try to hit him like I thought I would. I just sat there as he hugged me and stroked my hair.

“You don’t know that is going to happen, it was a dream. Demons could have made you think that it was your sister. There is a chance she is here because I couldn’t find her anywhere before we left but that doesn’t mean you are going to kill her. I know how much she means to you, I won’t let you do that.” he said.

He didn’t sound sure about it but I looked up at him and his smile made me feel much better. I know that he wouldn’t let me do that. My sister is the only family I have left since my mum disappeared and I’m not losing her too.

“I’m sorry Paige but we have to get back to tell everyone the plan and it’s not good if we stay here.” He said.

He kissed me on the cheek and I nodded. I got up and started walking back to the tents. It wasn’t long till I reached everyone who was crowded around a fire. It wasn’t even dark yet but it was freezing. I got everyone’s attention and stood in front of the fire.
