Chapter 19

Paige’s POV

It’s been a few months since the war. Poppy had done us so much help by wiping Luke and Victoria’s minds. I actually have some friends now. Victoria has become one of my closest friends now and Melanie is always here helping me. Marcus also has his brother back now and he is no longer lonely.

The camp is still here but there is no reason for everyone to fight. It’s like a massive house for everyone. Me and Marcus are always there but I still had my apartment. After the fighting I asked Marcus to move in. I didn’t have my sister anymore and I really didn’t want to be there by myself. Sounds desperate I know but if I was there alone I think I might have gone mad.

“Oww little sister, I think we are going to the camp, you coming?” Victoria asked from the living room.

We were in my apartment. I let her call me that since we had become great friends. She is very happy all the time now, it’s kinda funny considering of how mean she was. Luke is all ways trying to look after me as well. Being Marcus’ brother he is always around here trying to annoy him. Me and Victoria are always crying with laughter at Marcus telling off Luke.

“I think I have to go meet Melanie, thanks Victoria.” I shouted from my room.

I heard her shut the front door and I got of my bed. I picked up my coat and jumped from my window and to the tree that was outside. I started running to meet Melanie.

For the first time in a long time I was happy to be me, to have my life, my powers and my boyfriend. It was amazing. What would be great if I could only get off human blood? I only have to let Melanie help me become what she calls a ‘vegetarian’ then I could stop taking human blood. I think it is going to be an amazing life from now on.
