Stevens POV:
I was sitting by the window, munching away on a cookie cat. I was waiting for Connie. We we're supposed to practice violin and ukulele.
I sigh and stand up, thinking that she wasn't coming.
" STEVEN!" Connie says as she burst through the door, " I am so sorry I was late! I was playing 1,000 questions with my mom!"
I sigh with relief and grab my ukulele. We gallop the the warp pad and warp to the strawberry battle fields. She lays out the the blue picnic blanket and sets down the picnic basket. Her black hair shines in the sun and her violin shows her beautiful reflection. Her hair, her dark skin, her soft yellow dress. I blush deeply, and launch into a warm melody. Connie soon joins in and we sign a song.

Connie's POV:
Oh I'm late. OH I'M LATE!!
I just answered my moms last question about rules and safety. I grab my violin and dash out the door. I finally reach Stevens house in a pile of sweat and stink.
I burst in through the screen door and quickly explain myself.
"Connie, it's fine, really." Steven says. I sigh with relief and walk behind him as he heads toward the warp pad. I shudder when we reach an odd looking strawberry field. Then I vaguely remember when Steven was telling me about this. It was an old gem battlefield, there were weapons of all sorts lying around the place. I get out the blue picnic blanket out and lay it down, I set down the weaves basket that I made in my weaving class that was filled with food. I plop down and nervously fiddle to get my violin out. I see Steven blush and tune his ukulele. I blush too, and tune my violin. Without warning, Steven starts a melody:
We are the Crystal Gems.
We'll always save the day, and if you think we can't we'll always find a way.
That's why the people of this world believe in,
Garnet,Amethyst, Pearl and Steven!
We finish up giggling and making jokes.
I leave Stevens house with a grin.
I walk through my house doors with a feeling I've never experienced before.
It was love.
