Connie's POV:

I blink and immediately get slammed down with a migraine. My body screams for more sleep as I force my self off of the cool, green floor. Memories play a movie behind my eyes as I realize what happened. I taken my surroundings and see in front of me is, what looks like, yellow glass. I stare at it for a moment before turning away. The jail was small and, can't believe I'm saying this, safe.

I reach out carefully, seeing if the yellow glass was glass. I close my eyes expecting the worst, only to feel a small shock, the cooler air. I open one eye and gasp in amazement. My hand went right through the wall. I put my head under and quickly crawl out. I scramble to a near by window and peek out. I catch a large blue floating in inky blackness, dotted with twinkling with lights. Reality hits me as I notice a obvious connection.

I'm in space. Steven and my parents are on that planet.

I stumble back as tears fill my dazed eyes. I sit there for a minute wondering about how different it will be if I got stuck here. My thoughts get interrupted by heavy foot steps. I freeze and quickly pass back through the yellow wall with ease. I slump against the wall pretending I was still blacked out.

A husky voice breaks the silent air,

" Yellow diamond, this is the human that has a connection with Rose Quartz. I found her in front of me after the battle. Also, she is cable of fusion. So we can use her for a war."

Jasper reports more about how the battle went. I hear shuffling then a low hum. I pretend to stir.

"I know your awake. Wake up human." A powerful voice orders me. I lift up my head and cower. This gem, towering above me, must be Yellow Diamond. Her hair is two triangles parted to two sides. Her yellow jumpsuit fits her well on her slim figure. Her blazing yellow eyes meet mine. She grins and says,

"We are no threat human. Well, to Rose we are."

"Steven's not Rose! Rose gave up her form, she's not here!" I blurt. I instantly cover my mouth and regret what I say as Yellow Diamond's eyes narrow to slits. She crouches down to my shaking figure.

"Jasper!"she barks. Jasper runs to her side.

"Lock this one up in the cell in my room." Jasper nods as she grabs me by my arm.

"This one's going to be more useful than I expected." Yellow Diamond mutters as a green door separates me and her.

Steven's POV:

I race around my room and grab useful things for our mission.

Blanket, sandwiches, first aid kit, water and other items over flow my cheese burger backpack.

Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst are standing on the crystal warp pad watching me race with time.

" Steven, we are only going to create a diversion to get on the ship, not camping." Pearl explains.

"I know, This is when we can get Connie. Since gems don't eat, they don't feed her even though they know humans need to eat. And the first aid kit is for if Connie has injures." Garnet nods.

"True." I zip up and take a deep breath. I look around my room thinking if I'll ever see it again. I run to the warp pad.

"Are you ready Steven? This could turn into a deadly situation all depending on Connie's life or death." Pearl says to me. Amethyst face palms and my color drains from my face. I look to Garnet for a more comforting truth. Garnet looks down at me and shrugs and nods.

"Great. Way to make him feel better guys. A+. 10 out of 10." Amethyst throws her hands up.

"Might as well be my turn," she continues. "Steven we all might die. Connie probably will to. Theres a slim chance of any of us making it." I cover my ears with my hands as silent tears fall down my face. I see light blue swarm around us as we warp to the one place we would most likely find them.
