Luna's POV
Stand in the rain when all is crashing down~
I snapped out of my sleep as thunder rumbled in the distance. The little pit patter from above me made it obvious that it did start to rain. There was little light shining in the room, and what light there was grey and dim. It might have been five in the morning if the clock didn't say it was nine thirty.
My dream from the night before was still fresh in my mind. It was the words my mom had said when I was in the moon cave. I've heard them in my head every night since I first heard them, and with the sound of rain outside right now it made me a bit uneasy. Even with the vision, was it meant he be taken literally? And if so, it's raining. Is it a foreshadow of today, or just a mere coincidence. I could only hope for the latter.
As a stretched, a new sound broke the noise of the rain. Someone was walking down the hallway, and they stopped to see me. I branched out my mind, and sure enough, it was Star, wondering if she should knock. I saved her the trouble by getting up and opening the door.
"Oh you are up?" Star said, her bright yellow fur as bright as her voice and standing out in the grey, "Are you hungry?"
"Yeah just a little bit. Is Shadow cooking again?"
"No, Foxy. She went over to Tails and is cooking everyone brunch."
"That sounds great," I smiled, and yawned. The dreams have been giving me restless sleep, and so I was a bit tired. It didn't help that Tails and I hung out well past midnight, and I didn't even get to bed until 1 in the morning.
"I'll leave you to get ready~" Star skipped off, humming. I wonder why she was in such a great mood. I almost thought about probing her thoughts but I didn't want to be rude.
In a few moments, I had changed out of the dress I wore yesterday- that by the time I got home, I just left it on and collapsed into bed- and into a pair of jeans, a black shirt, and a hoodie. With Shadows teleporting abilities, the likelihood of being out in the rain was slim, but I wanted it anyways. It felt warm and comforting. This was the same hoodie that I lugged around with me for nine months when I had gotten it from a clothes drive. It was brand new when I got it, someone must have bought it to donate or grew out of it before they could use it. I wore it all winter long to keep me warm, and the hood to keep me hidden the rest of the year. This hoodie saved my life a few times.
"You ready?" Star knocked on the door.
"Yeah!" I called and she opened the door.
"We better get going then before Sonic eats all the food then," we both laughed as we walked out into the hallway were Shadow was also waiting. He had a smile on his face- a real one.
"You two are in a good mood," I noted.
"Of course we are," Star giggled. "Can we tell her?"
"I thought you wanted to wait."
"I can't hold it in any longer."
"What?" I asked, a bit confused. Shadow nodded at Star and she held her hand up for me to see a silver ring on her finger.
"Shadow and I are getting married!"
I instantly broke out into a smile. "Oh wow congrats." Before I could say anything else, Star gave me a big hug.
"Thanks sis."
When she released me, I asked, "So when did this happen?"
"We'll wait till we tell everyone else before we say," Shadow says.
