No POV
Mephiles walked up to the slightly stirring kangaroo.
"Get up," he snapped.
Kicker moaned as he lifted up his head. The four wheeler he had been riding was now crashed in the back of the small car. Kicker himself wasn't really hurt, just dazed, but he did have a black eye and a few cuts here and there. He seemed confused for a few moments, then he recovered.
"She got away," he growled. Mephiles looked at him, very angry.
"Of course she did. Who told you how to find her," Mephiles asked.
"No one. I saw her and decided to fallow 'em," he says, getting up out of the four wheeler. "How long I been out for? I could probably still get her."
"A while. And you are not going to attack her or any of the Freedom Fighters for the time being."
"Why not?"
Mephiles sighed, growing irritated, "Because, she's dangerous at the moment. She doesn't know how to control herself, and until she can do that, we don't need her. Focus on something else."
"Like what?"
Mephiles suddenly smiled.
"Fallow me and I'll show you."
Luna's POV
It's hard to clear your mind.
It's even harder to focus on the good things.
Because there's always a bad memory to resurface from the good.
I sighed and got up from where I was sitting cross legged. The sun was still shining brightly through the hole in the roof. It feels like its been several hours, when in all reality, it's most likely only been what, half an hour?
And being hungry doesn't help concentration.
I sigh, and jump a few time to stretch my falling asleep muscles before sitting back down.
Happy thoughts, happy thoughts.
The first time I went to the beach always made me smile. I laughed so hard when Rouge poured water all over Knuckles. And that was the first time I had pizza.
And my first kiss.
I was smiling by now. These were good happy thoughts. I couldn't fine anything wrong that ruined that day.
So I focused of that, for as long as I could. Remembering every detail from that day gave me a warm feeling inside. I began to feel happy and peaceful.
After a while, I opened my eyes. Amazingly, the sun had already disappeared from the hole, and was replaced by stars and moonlight. I must have been thinking for a while.
I got up and stretched. I think I did what Stardust wanted me to do, that being finding peace. Calming myself.
A movement in the shadows caught the corner of my eye, and I turned to it. Stardust was standing in the tunnel, watching me. She smiled a little.
"I'm guessing you found something good to focus on?" She asks. "You've been meditating for several hours now, and were smiling the entire time."
I nod. "Yeah, I did."
"I won't ask you what, just know that I want you to focus on that anytime that you feel like you're about to shift," she says. "You must be hungry by now. Fallow me, I have supper ready."
She turned and left, and I began to fallow her. I could hardly tell where we were going, the tunnels are like a labyrinth to me. Stardust has no problem navigating through them though.
