Stardust's POV
I lightly placed the blanket on my niece. She almost looked peaceful sleeping. Sighing, I left her all alone, and began to walk through the silent cave halls. Every once and a while, I would hear the occasional splash of water, or the whisper on the wind coming in thru the entrance - exactly where I was heading.
I passed by holes of starlight every so often, until I reached the main entrance, where the wind blew strongest and the light glowed brightly.
Where I could see the starlight clearly over the moonlit valley. The stars twinkled as if greeting me hello, and I smiled lightly.
"What should I do?" I asked them, my small smile dying in the process. They didn't answer me, and instead a faded figure walked out from behind the bushes.
"You know what to do," she answered for the stars.
"No I don't Sunny. I could teach her everything I know, and that still won't be enough," I sighed. I knew she would come to me, and I wished the stars would of just gave me a riddle.
She smiled softly and walked towards me. Her hand drifted over my heart, and I felt a warm sensation. "Set your heart free and fallow it. It has been locked up for far too long."
I laughed a little. "A message from the stars?"
"No from me. I know that that is how you'll help my daughter."
"She's a lost cause. I see little light on the surface, and many shadows within."
"For there to be many shadows, there first has to be light," she smiled as she looked over to the nearly full moon. "You know the Prophecy never said she would lean towards the dark, or the light," she laughed lightly, "And I know Luna doesn't want to be in the dark, but her will won't be enough."
"When do you become so wise."
"That was the message from the stars, not me."
I nodded once, and looked with her to the moon. From what I read in books and even scrolls, moon foxes get a lot of strength from the full moon, and this moon is getting near full. It worried me, and my face reflected it. Sunny only smiled.
"You know, the light of the moon is a reflection from the sun."
I smiled as she began to fade, knowing exactly what she meant in all senses.
Luna's POV
I woke up with a jump as cold water was being poured on my head.
"Get up Sleeping Beauty! I can't help you if you're sleeping!"
I shivered from the cold. Stardust stood in front of me with a bucket in her hand. Even though her face looked serious, a smiled danced in her eyes.
"I would of got up if you asked me," I commented as I got up. She didn't pour too much water on me, only enough to wake me up -so not much.
"Yeah, but you wouldn't be so awake as you are now. At least your darker self doesn't show up when your irritated and mad."
"But it does when I'm stressed," I say as I get up off the chair that I passed out in, and Stardust hands me a towel. I begin to dry off, "And I'm a very stressed person."
"And what fuels that stress? Worry and fear," as the words come out of her mouth, I realize she is right about that. "So today, I'm teaching you in the basics of meditation and concentration. Last night you were able to calm yourself from shifting by letting your thoughts go. Instead, I think it would be better to focus on something stronger."
"Like what?"
"The light within you, and not the dark. To scare away the shadows sort of speak," she says.
