I split my soul again, pain igniting from my scar but I ignore it.
Yours is a rare gift, my dear.
The words echo, however are quickly replaced with the deranged grin I saw in the flames.
You know what? I'll focus on that.
I take in every detail of the grin, the wrinkles on the chin, the crease in the upper lip, the lipgloss painted lips. Before I know it, I hear Suns voice yell.

"Ready?"

"Aim!" I reply.

"Fire!" We both yell. Swords fly. I feel a fatal impact on one of the guys course through my series of blades.

They both lay on the floor for a moment before whisking away, the smoke blending in with the darkness
of the ashes from their bodies.

With the threat gone, the fire take number one priority in my mind. The flames grow closer. How to I breath again? In and out right? It hurts. Too much smoke. Sun sturdy hands stable me, grabbing my waist. When did I transform? Clouds form beneath me and him, also surfacing underneath the awakening allies of ours. I suddenly run off and grab the Kishan eggs. I shove two into my pocket and shove the other one into my mouth. The gel-texture soothes my hurting lungs. Kid stands up, and Liz and Patti transform into weapons. Kid summons his skateboard.

"How did you do that?" He yells over the wind. He looks over, "Oh god your bleeding!" He yells. I raise my hand to my face, my scar was bleeding. The sight of the blood made me realize a weak feeling spreading over my body, my legs going numb. I silently change into a Scimitar, Sun's hand lightly holding my handle. Kid looks around, waiting for a response.

"She splits her soul into different aspects and broadcasts it forward," Sun answers for me, emotionless. I can see Kid wants more of an answer, but drops it none the less.

We land in a near by town, the silence of the city eery.
"Let me call Lord Death," Sun says, walking towards a blank window. He breathes heavily, creating a margin to write on. 42-42-564, he writes. The window fragments into an image of Deaths face.
"Ah, so you've finished your assignment. How many souls is that, Sun?" The goofy voice booms, ticking me off. Where was that voice when you confronted my mom? I ask myself.
"Twenty-three," he replies.
Lord Death nods. "Very good, so you'll be heading back to the academy, eh?"
"I think we'll camp here tonight," Kid interrupts, the moon raises a bit at his words, odd blood dripping from it's teeth.
People wonder why the moon bleeds.
It's the blood shed that night. I sense death almost every moment of the night, and my mid reflects the pain of those killed around me. Imagine how the moon feels, having to watch death after death. Horrid.

We walk toward an Inn. I suddenly stop in my tracks, an ear shattering scream echoing through my head, and my head only. I instinctively cover my ears.
Sun grabs my shoulders, starting to shake me out of it, tears streaking my face. I shake my head frantically, falling to the ground.
The screaming stops suddenly.
"She's dead," I mutter.
"What?!" Kid asks, annoyance on his face, "What just happen, you need to explain things to me, now!" He yells.

"I sense death Kid, its a moon thing, it's close..." I stumble to my feet.
"Adira, we can't. You used to much energy. Let's just go inside-" Suns words are overpowered by another scream, a lower, hair raising scream.

"It's too loud, it's a killing spree, Sun! It's too loud!" I yell, eyesight going blurry. I see Sun mouth move into words, but I can't hear. I look at Kid, knowing what can stop this..this torture.

"Knock me out," I say to Kid. He glares for a moment before hitting me in the temple with the heel of his foot.

The unconsciousness helps. The screams fade, followed only by a dream... A memory.

His feet shuffled along the gray beach, an old attraction for a forgotten old town. His head low, a yellow-gold mark on his cheek, his tear stained face hidden in the shadows of his golden hair.
"What are you doing, boy?" My young voice asks.
"Sulking,"
"Why?"
"Because I can, I'm aloud to. I'm not all laughs like people think I am. I'm sick of laughing. Sick of smiling," he cries. He looks up, blue eyes matching the color of the dry sky above.
I pull the small boy into a hug.
"Then cry. Cry until you can't anymore, and then show me that smile your so sick of," I say.
I fade into a restless sleep, Suns stern face hot on my mind.

That was the day I met my partner.
