I shake my head.
"Nah, Leah's great... just... great," I say, remembering every time she poked, pinched, slapped, and tormented me.
Almost on cue, an older version of the girl I left walks threw the door, her strawberry-blond hair smooth and in a high pony tail behind her. She wears a white tank top with some yellow short-shorts.
"Great," I mumble to myself.
**Sun's Pov*
Kid invites us to a party at his house soon after Leah came. I think about what Lord Death said to me once we came back from the mission. Should I tell her?
I see the strained smile on her face.
I won't tell her tonight. I don't need to, she could use a few normal days, right?
We chat until late, eventually Leah crosses the line.
"Well, looks like I should be heading home, some of us try when they do school work, others just use their power to get what they want," Leah says, glaring at Adira.
"Do you want to go?" Adira stands, pointing to the door, "Be my guest,"
Leah laughs, "Touchy as ever, I see,"
"Do you want to fight me?" Adira laughs in disbelief.
"No weapons," Leah smiles.
"Fine," Adira says.
"I would like to see what years of training has done to dear Adira," She says. She holds out her left palm and a white orb starts to form.
"I don't think you want to know," Adira growls.
"CHICK FIGHT!" Frost laughs before I elbow him in the gut.
Adira digs her heals into the carpeted floor.
"Umm... if you guys are going to fight could we do this outside? I hate to be the buzzkill but this is where I live," Maka says from the kitchen.
Leah laughs as she walks slowly outside, her boots have a few inches of heel.
"Let's see what you've got," Leah smirks, her hair lighting slightly on fire. Adira's eyes widen suddenly.
"Are you scared?" Leah laughs.
"I just have a... a hunch, could I have one moment," she says before running back into the building we just came out of. She returns two minutes later.
"Ready?" Leah patronizes.
"Ready," Adira smiles.
They stand for a moment, testing who is going to go first. I'm surprised when Adira leaps forward first before suddenly disappearing in a puff of purple smoke.
**Adira's Pov**
I ran forward and run threw my own shadow, turning me into exactly that, a shadow. I don't know what happened within the time of me being a shadow and now, but apparently this is something I can do.
Leah looks around, panicked. I appear in front of her and punch her in the gut. She grabs her stomach before waiting for me to strike again. When I do, she grabs me by the roots of my hair and knees me in a groin.
I cringe but shake the pain away, as she charges the white orb in her right palm.
"doesn't that count as a weapon?" I ask, indicating to her soul in her had.
"Doesn't your shadow thing?" She smirks.
I roll my eyes. All bets are off. I change my determination into a chain. The chain glows a slight yellow.
