Unexpected Love

Chapter 37

*Cassie's POV*
Around 7:30pm, I wake up to Sammy nearly freaking out.

"Sammy what's wrong?"

"Nate is in the hospital because some jackass dared him to jump off a roof into a sand pit. He made it into the sand pit, it's just there was a hidden pole in the sand and his foot hit it. God he's so fucking stupid!"

"What the hell? Were going to the hospital right now."

We walked downstairs and I could tell Sammy was pissed and worried.

"Mom, Sam and I have to go to the hospital because Nate might have a broken foot or ankle. I'll see you later."

"Okay. Be safe guys!"

We walk out the door and head to the hospital. I drive because Sammy is just pissed and probably would kill us if he drove. The whole 15 minute ride there was silent. It was weird but Sammy needed the silence.

When we arrived at the hospital, I ran straight to the desk and asked for Nate Maloely.

"Room 145, First Floor."

I grab Sammy's hand and walk into the waiting room where all the guys were. Nearly everyone was worried or pissed. I look over to the corner and see Jack. Sammy pushes me over to him to see if he's okay.

"Hi Jack, are you okay-y?"

"No, not really. My grandma is in the hospital too. On my way here to see Nate, my dad called me to tell me that my grandma has cancer."

"Aw. Jack, I'm sorry."

"Thanks. And Cassie, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I never ment to hurt you but I did and I know you hate me for it. I hate myself too."

"Jack, I'm over it now. I'm still shocked about it, but I know you were drunk and pissed because I harmed myself. But being drunk didn't matter, hurting the one you loved did."

I walk back over to Sammy feeling relieved that I somewhat let my feelings out.

"I heard what you told him. Good choice of words Cass. Just know I would never, ever hurt you. I love you."

"I love you too Samuel."

A minute later, the doctor walked out and informed us about what is going on.

"Nate is doing just fine. He broke his foot and he had foot surgery. He is recovering right now and able to go home."

We all sighed in relief and waited for Nate to come out in a wheelchair.

"Nate, your a dumbass, but I love you."

"Thanks Cass, love you too shithead."

"Are you able to do Magcon?"

"Yeah, the doctors said in about and hour I could walk using the crutches."
"That's good."

"Yeah. Now let's get home. My mom said that she took my suitcases and backpacks to your house for the flight tomorrow."

"Okay."

By the time we get home, it's 9:30 and we have to wake up at 4:40 in the morning and leave the house by 4:50 to be at the LAX Airport by 6:00 to meet Bart at our Terminal by 6:15.

"Guys, we should go to bed now. We have to be up early for Magcon tomorrow."

"Okay."

Sammy, Nate and I finally fall asleep at 9:45. I'm gunna be so tired and bitchy in the morning.
